Is the difference an evolutionary thing and once upon a time we smiled for the same reason wolves smile today-?

You can smile without showing any teeth. Animals smile too, most obvious on primates but I have seen other animals smile as well.

I went back and yes the chimp was smiling. This destroys my theory that only humans show their teeth in friendship.
