Jesus is the image of the living God (Colossians 1:15), and man is made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27), so perhaps the image of the Beast (Revelation 13:14-15) is referring to those who embody the Beast...with worship of the beast being the joining of that group and the mark then being a badge of membership?

I don't think so. Because the false prophet makes the image come alive and speak. So the image at first has to be inanimate. Would not apply to people.

Yes, I get what you are saying there, but "come alive and speak" could be applied figuratively if the false prophet were the educator of a community.

People might flinch at the 'figurative' part, but people who take revelation literally are looking for a real red dragon fighting a real fluffy sheep...

We are limited in the information we have on the image of the beast.
But I would not say it is figurative base on the information we are given.

Well, its the people and not Beast#2 who actually make the image, so that part requires nothing wonderous in the Biblical sense. And the word translated as 'life' which Beast#2 gives to the image is actually 'pneuma', meaning spirit...

That is a point I agree with, that the people make the image.

Reminds me back to exodus, when the people had to provide the gold so Aaron could form the golden cafe.

Maybe the image will be made of 666 talents of gold coming from the countries of the world?

I don't know volume wise what 666 talents of gold would be, in order to make a guesstimate of the size of the image.

Like I said, "life" is not a good translation as the word is Pneuma (spirit) not Zoe (life).

Satan is the inspiring spirit of the Image, the motivator, the director, as the Image worships, follows, and embodies Satan.

I am not reading that the image worships Satan. What I am reading is two things...

1. that the dragon is worshiped in Revelation 13:4
2. that the image is worshiped in Revelation 13:15

So even on that limited basis, it appears that Satan will incarnate the image and by doing so, Satan will be worshiped.

Also there is the issue of what happens to the image of the beast, that comes alive and speak. The bible does not say directly. But from Ezekiel 28:17-18, it can be reasoned that the facade of the image will be melted away, brought to ashes, and Satan will be exposed for all them gathered in Revelation 19 to see him, there on the temple mount when Jesus returns.

If Satan is not incarnating the image, how does Satan pop out of nowhere to be on the temple mount for the lone angel to descend from heaven and put him in chains to cast him the bottomless pit ?

We worship God by becoming the Temple of the Holy Spirit.

I'm suggesting that people will worship Satan by being the Temple of him, and in such becoming the Image of him just as the Body of Christ is the image of the invisible God.

It doesn't have to have Satan INC on the name badge. It just has to rebel against God as that is what the Satanic spirit is.

You fail to understand that there are hundreds of millions of people who do not believe in any God , while they will be punished as children of satan , just because they reject God - but they will not even consider supporting a mark of the beast

There is nothing unbiblical in the mark being the badge of membership of Babel 2.0, nor in the Image being those who rebel against God (just as Jesus and the Body of Christ are the image of the invisible God), and the Bible DOES say that EVERYONE not previously given the mark of God is given the mark of the Beast.

There is nothing in the bible about Revelation 13 that supports the notion that people are the image of the beast - that is just how you prefer to see it
Scripture DOES say that some people escape into the wilderness , and IF you choose to learn about it is IS Petra ,
