  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thousands upon thousands from Central America travel the length of Mexico fleeing violence.

Why don’t they find sanctuary and help in Mexico?

Good point.

Odd, isn't it?

Those who seek the truth and life in Jesus and freedom and salvation in Him
are persecuted in most countries including in Mexico.

In any country where they may find sanctuary, it is sheer grace to do so, and temporary.

I think it might have something to do with drug money and guns flowing in from their northern border as well as a weak central government.

Mexico is, like, 80% Christian.

You have records to show otherwise?
Only the Promise of the Father in heaven - whoever seeks the Truth and keeps seeking the Truth, will find it, and the Truth will set them free.

All the so-called "records" will lead you many places, but not to the Father or Truth.

So...you're just making it up.

Mexico is one of the most violent nations on earth. The drug gangs took over. Most of the people there call themselves Catholic. The family income averages about $843 a month. Central American refugees have rumors of better opportunities in America. They went to el Norte. Central Americans have been coming to the US for decades.

I was having dental work done in Baja, Mexico years ago, before hotel WiFi. I went to an Internet rental store to rent computer time to check my emails. I looked over the shoulder of a Mexican woman. She was using Google Earth to look at satellite imagery of the border. I supposed she was contemplating making a crossing.

Often / usually/ "spin" // fake news - as reported frequently the last couple years, and actually for decades.
Only to people that don't want to accept the truth .

I understand that Mexico isn't very nice to illegal immigrants. Especially from across their southern border.

Thank heavens the USA wants to act only as good as its worst neighbor when it comes to taking in the dispossessed.

Doesn't matter what people want to accept - it is still fake news to people who love the truth, and to people who don't want to accept the truth - no matter what you think.
