• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Deep devotion to Donald does not make a person a Christian.

If you see nothing wrong with letting boys shower with girls at school, you have serious problems.
You're dodging the question. What's the alleged sin and what age range are you talking about?

I'm talking about kindergarten through twelfth grade. As for the "alleged" sin, if you see nothing wrong with letting boys shower with girls, then I promise you the Lord has pretty much lost patience with you.

You don't have to read them all. Just read one.

I already did. I think you're confused on the issue, but since it's not on the topic of this thread I'll just shrug & move on.

Okay, you can't name the alleged sin so I am thinking that it is no sin specifically just a general "how dare you do this!" sort of thing. A bit of societal outrage but nothing specifically condemned in scripture.

I am sure that the ballot paper had at least 5 candidates for president on it, most had more, a few less maybe. Hilary Clinton was only one alternative to Donald Trump there were several others. But the point here is that it is fundamentally unbiblical to be so devoted to Donald Trump that his every wicked tweet and wicked act - both from the bast and from now - is defended because it is a christian's duty to honour him. It is not a Christian's duty to praise wickedness and pretend it is good.

Sure lets vote for the ones who are guaranteed to lose.

He is just defending himself from the nonstop attacks from the mainstream media.

If he thought before he spoke and acted he wouldn’t need to defend himself.

If Jesus were on the ballot paper as an independent then he would not win either so you would not vote for him? Come on, you're making excuses not offering reasons. The fact is that Hilary lost too yet more people voted for her than voted for Donald. Winning is not a reason to vote for wicked people. No biblical revelation will tell you that it is good to lend your support to wickedness because it will win.

Well, that's exactly what one Republican out in California did. John Cox made it public that he was refusing to vote for Trump & was instead voting for Gary Johnson, who of course was guaranteed to lose.

You don't make any sense. Right now I completely 100% support Trump and support his policies. There is no reason for me not to vote for him.

Well, he accomplished his own objectives with his vote & he won an endorsement from Trump for his own race for governor of California.

It accomplished one thing at least. It let the world know that there are alternatives to voting either Republican or Democrat. And that is worth knowing.

Personally, I don't think Trump is anyone I'd hang out with even if he weren't president. I think I'd get tired of his personality pretty quickly. But when he got elected he started saying stuff like America first. Now he might be screwing up at times and he might be erratic and hard to stomach, but I think he really is trying to put America first. I like that. It has seemed to me that for a long time America has been trying to stuff its nose up everyone's rear end as far as it could go and finally we have a guy who is trying to pull it out. So yeah, Trump is a lot of things, but I still like the idea of America first. And I wonder if criticism of Trump isn't actually rooted in criticism of America first.

I believe it's a rather serious issue that you should talk to the Lord about.

Yes, of course. Having failed to name any sin and having no justifiable reason for proclaiming it as the worst of sins - which was too absurd for any one to take seriously - you shake the dust you created off your feet and pretend nothing happened. But all the readers of this thread can see that you failed.

Christians follow Jesus. Supporting Donald Trump is not the same thing as following Jesus. That's too obvious to need saying, right? So why do people act like supporting Donald is a Christian duty - come on people, Donald isn't one of the twelve apostles or something.

Seek Jehovah while he may be found, call upon Him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake his ways and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to Jehovah, and he will have mercy upon him, and to our God, he will abundantly pardon.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says Jehovah. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55: 6-9.

Great straw man, bro.
