There is the Muslim temple called the Dome of the Rock where Herod's Temple used to be. Further south on the old temple platform is Al Aksa Mosque. The place was called Mt. Moriah in the Old Testament.

If the Jews destroy the Muslim temples in an effort to build their own, there might be an invasion of Arab armies.

I don't think they broke ground, but I do know about a decade ago they were trying in a lab to re-construct a RED heifer which is necessary to the worship.

I am a Christian who believes that the Jewish people have a duty... .and an obligation to fulfill Ezekiel chapters 40 - 48.... as part of Tikkun Olam.. .which is basically setting the stage for the Millennium / Era of Moshiach / Messiah.

The answer to most of the problems of the earth.... lie in the fulfillment of Ezekiel chapter 47....... living waters flowing from BOTH.... the literal Third TEmple in Jerusalem but..... .metaphorically from the Bride of Messiah the church...... who finally come to viewing the Jewish Bible as not being contradictory to the Christian scriptures...........

And don't put too much stock in all of that talk about Gog and Magog; most of the interpretations of prophecy you see about this are recent inventions by people who don't have any authority to say what the prophecies mean. God's plan will unfold in His own way and His own time, so just relax, attend to your own salvation and let Him be in charge.

They can set up a tent and they are ready to begin the sacrifices. They have the animals, they have the vessels they need. They would use the tent while they are building the temple. They would not need much of a notice to begin.

IF Israel builds another temple, consider this, it WILL NOT be a Christian temple, so then what is it really?

They will be back under the law. The age of grace or the church age will have come to an end. The time of the gentiles will come to an end. Luke 21 24 "Jerusalem will be trampled down by the Gentiles until the period of the Gentiles comes to an end."

Ironically, the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the temple mount was built from the ruins of the Byzantine Church of St Mary.

Re: Revelations. The advice given to you was correct. Read this book with the help of an experienced and well-balanced Pastor. Most interpretations are wrong, and have resulted in a huge number of false pophecies.

Re: Reconstruction of the Temple. First, it would be a Jewish decision, not a Christian decision. Israel is a Jewish state. Yes, certainly the Jews would like to re-build their temple. But this action will create the seeds of enormous conflict, because that same location has one of the principal mosques for Islam. You can visit the Web site and do a virtual tour. Hence there is a major clash of religions at this site. It is rumored that Israel has already constructed many items for the Temple, based on the Biblical commandments. These items are in safe storage. But they have not given a go-ahead to build. From the POV of the Jews, they are waiting for Christ to come, since they believe that Jesus was not the Christ.

Hence in the bigger scheme of things, when this re-building does take place, it will set in motion major conflict in the world. Christians have the Book of Revelation. Muslims have their own end-time prphecies. Both religions agree it will be a time of enormous wars and loss of life.

I found this video blasphemous.

I understand his position entirely, but disagree at this time with his statements concerning earthly Jerusalem and New Jerusalem, and that Jerusalem has no spiritual significance. It sounds right, but it is not.

Yahweh still has many Promises to fulfill in His Covenant with the children of Israel. Our destination (destiny) is not a location, but a Person.
We were contemplated by God in Trinity, and back to Trinity we shall be hid in Christ for our righteousness is as filthy rags and the down payment of the Holy Spirit in TIME will be given in FULL GLORY in Eternity.

And "heaven" is not a place, but a Person. There is only One God.

Gog and Magog are prophetic illustrations of the nations and people’s who seek to stop the growth of the influence of the invisible government of God in the earth. The time and season of this prophecy was to begin when the age of the four gentile empires, named and dated in prophecy end. In case you do not know it. The capitol of the Roman Empire, the fourth of the four empires was moved to Constantinople in 333AD. An emperor was seated on the throne until 1453 when the empire was destroyed and the last emperor killed.
The Bible’s prophecy stated that these four empires would conquer all the countries believers had influence in and rule and reign over them. Making war against the believers and overcoming them.
However it says of the countries and people’s illustrated by Gog and Magog that “fire will come down from heaven and destroy them.” Which is a often used illustration in the Bible of total and catastrophic defeat in war.
This is exactly what the world has been witnessing for the last 500 years. The people’s and countries with no or very little influence in their affairs by the invisible government of God seeking to conquer the nations with a lot in influence from the Gospel, the Bible and God’s Spirit. Always looks like they will win to, (they surround the camp of the saints.) Ultimately they were crushed in war and the people’s and nations most influenced by the Gospel and the Word have been dominate in the world. They are places were for the first time in human history, nations have met he most basic conditions that allow the earthly promises of God to his people the circumstance necassary to come to pass.
Some of the countries\peoples illustrated by Gog and Magog are: The Holy Roman Empire, Napoleon, The British Empire before Great Briton’s great awakenings. The Kaiser’s Germany, NAZI Germany, The Imperial Japanese, The USSR.

God rendered the last Temple obsolete when Jesus die on the cross. Then as Jesus prophesied, it was totally destroyed in 70 A.D.
Since Pentecost, every believer is the Temple of the Holy Spirit. It is a spiritual place, not made with hands.
Why would God ordain another Temple?
For what purpose? They would not have the Ark of the Covenant - even if they found it, its obsolete. The Holy Spirit would not dwell there. So why do Christians persist in this Temple? Could it be a prophecy about the abomination of desolation that has already been fulfilled?
God is sovereign, His plan has purpose. His plan to enlighten Jew to their Messiah is approaching (Rom. 11). A remnant will be saved when Jesus returns.
The anti-Christ may march into a Temple and declare himself to be god, but that doesn't necessarily require it to be. New Temple on the Mount. It could be a Mosque - since I do believe he is a Muslim.
Islam is the Beast, controlled by Satan, who gathers ten Muslim nations to go against Israel. I think in the last seven years, the Middle East has seen many governments overturned. We've seen ISIS FORM and spread, but there are some 80 other Islamic terrorist groups, from 80 nations. We've seen Sadaam, Mubarek, Qudhafi, taken out, possibly the 3 little horns.
The 70 weeks were fulfilled with Jesus first coming, so no gap.

They have 'in effect ' started it but it stopped due to political differences, they have built the furnishings that will be placed in the temple and they have made the garments for the priests that will work in the temple , they have made the old style harps and musical instruments to be used in the temple - everything is ready to go - it has been studied and stated that they can complete building the temple in 2 years and there is talk of putting up a big tent /tabernacle just to have something there - it just be politics that needs to be resolved - it will be resolved regardless of the opinions of those who believe it should not be built they just don't understand why it is really being built
