I have recently come across this article that says over 90 percent of those who requested a tongues test had a demonic tongue:

Apostle John told us not to believe every spirit but to test them:

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world. (1 John 4:1-3 NASB)

I would like to know if anyone ever come across anyone whose spirit behind their tongues actually passed this test, that the spirit of the tongues (not the tongue speaker) actually admitted that Jesus Christ came in the flesh. I mean the spirit (not the person) being tested by a third party, preferably by a minister who has experience in deliverance.

I've long thought that today's tongues are not of the Holy Spirit but of another spirit. I feel sorry for those who think these noises they make are of the Holy Spirit because what I get from it is that they are deceived. And I hope I am wrong but I doubt I am.

What do you mean with tongue test? Do you ask people to speak in tongue for test ? A person who speaks in tongue is not losing control of his consciousness otherwise He is possessed by demon
From what I have read, to test the spirit of tongue, the tongue speaker is usually asked to speak in tongue like he normally does, that is when their tongue is taken over by the spirit, then the minister of deliverance would test the spirit of tongue in the name of Jesus Christ.

During this process of testing, the person should not deliberately stop speaking in tongues in order to answer those questions in place of the spirit. He should let the spirit answer the questions by continuing with speaking in tongues (i.e. letting the spirit have control over their tongue) if they genuinely want an honest answer and to find out who the spirit is.

I stay clear of the "nowadays tongues" watching these guys I would think they flunk the test as (most do.)

Where do we get these ideas? The mechanics described are not found in the New Testament. Discerning spiritual things by fleshy means will only produce distrust, pride, and confusion. The only New Testament test given by our Lord Jesus and the Apostle Paul is By their fruits you shall know them. A person's character, motivation, and desire become evident in the things they do. And so do ours, in how we treat the Body of Christ.

I don't believe testing the spirits is not a vocabulary test. You can get an atheist to read the words "Jesus is Lord", and it will not tell you anything about their heart. Both our Lord Jesus and the Apostle Paul and James agreed that By their fruit you will know them. A person's character, desire, and motivation will become evident in the things they do. To try to discern spiritual things by fleshy means only produces distrust, pride, and confusion. A Believer following hard after Christ will declare by their actions that Jesus is Lord, and a fleshy Christian will display the opposite. Let us learn how to discern, and how to live in grace.

Just the kind of answer that scripture warns the Charismatic Corinthian church about. When a fundamentalist or a heathen enters a Charismatic service...or sees videos about them, we all just look mad/crazy or drunk. But then Kenneth Hagin already quoted that "drunk" fact, in the very video shared. And then when manifested 'drunkenness without drinking wine' experiences happen, we often hear the very 'spirit of judgment' accusations which scripture warned the Charismatic church of Corinth about. :(

1CO 14:23 Therefore if the whole church assembles together and all speak in tongues, and ungifted/idiotes men or unbelievers enter, will they not say that you are mad?

Paul makes it pretty clear in Corinthians, that even though they were out of line, they didn't receive the rebuke of the 'ungifted/unlearned' ones did. A group which is much larger in the church of today IMO. And though that group is very quick to judge us, they completely miss just how hard Paul's exhortation is concerning them, the Christians who are without the 'gifted' crazimatic experience.

I say Paul was hard in his exhortation because I've looked up the Greek word for "ungifted/unlearned" from differing translations.

Strong's Reference number 2399 idiotes: a private person, i.e. (by impl.) an ignoramus (comp. "idiot") :sigh:

The 'ungifted' (those not familiar with the gift of tongues) were not being rebuked in 1 Cor 14:23. Only the Corinthians were for appearing mad. Just because you highlighted the fact that the Greek word for ungifted (ἰδιώτης) has an English alphabetical equivalent of 'idiotes' doesn't mean they were idiots. According to the BDAG Lexicon (the gold standard of lexicons and far superior to the antiquated Strongs) the word has the following meaning:

① a person who is relatively unskilled or inexperienced in some activity or field of knowledge, layperson, amateur
② one who is not knowledgeable about some particular group’s experience, one not in the know, outsider.

Not a single bible translation renders the word as 'idiot' or any other derogatory term. Most translate it as inquirers, outsiders, ungifted, or unlearned.

in place of the spirit. He should let the spirit answer
You are totally wrong, a person speaks in tongue is controlling the spirit, not the Spirit take over his consciousness, what you refer to is demon possession
1 Cor 14 :32 the Spirit of Prophet is under control of the prophet

They are the experience of pastors who have many years of experience in deliverance of demons.

Testing the spirit by whether they confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is given by Apostle John as in 1 John 4:1-3, which I have quoted in the OP.

Unless that atheist is demon possessed, otherwise, what you described is simply testing the person, not other spirit.

If you have read the link in the OP, demons often deceptively adopted the name 'Jesus', so you need to get the spirit to confess that "Jesus Christ" has come in the flesh, not just "Jesus", which can be the name of anyone.

I never said a bible rendered the word idiotes as idiot. Your 'touchiness' merely reveals your own problem dealing with the truth, IMO. And your offense certainly isn't mine to bear....idiotes is the GREEK word for crying out loud.

And as far as your BDAG gold standard is concerned, I'd be willing to bet it never had one Spiritually 'gifted' tongue speaking scholar in its authorship. If true that's kind of like having 'the Fundamental fox guarding the Spiritual chicken house'?

Pray to God to give Holy Spirit baptism and speaking in tongue is a sign of Holy Spirit baptism, the time is short.

Has nothing to do with being Born Again and that's what counts.

1 Cor 14 :32 the Spirit of Prophet is under control of the prophet
The spirit of prophet in 1 Corinthians 14:32 is referring to human spirit, not spirit of God. Here's the NASB translation of the same verse: "the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets".

If a tongue speaker is controlling the spirit, there are three possibilities:

(1) The Holy Spirit is behind the tongues. Why would the Holy Spirit be controlled by us?

(2) The human spirit is behind the tongues, then the tongues are a work of flesh. In that case, why does the person do not know what they are saying?

(3) A demonic spirit is behind the tongues, but the person is not to the extent of being possessed, so they can still choose when to start and when to stop the tongues. However, once they start speaking, they have given the control of their tongue over to the demon until they stop. The person has not lost their consciousness during the process.

From what I have read by the experience of ministers who are in the ministry of deliverance, the majority cases they have dealt with in regard to tongues are (3), while there are a minority of the more severe cases where the demons have more control over the person than is described in (3).

Everybody knows that human spirit is control by the human, why would Paul write it if it means the human spirit ?
