Says the person who clearly knows nothing about the extensive medical science behind taking cannabis oil and the training doctors and dispenseries must go through to prescribe/dispense it. When you know a little more, then come and argue with me.

Let me know if you want any good suggestions for weed comedies or bong choices.
But really..There is so much misinformation out there regarding marijuana. I'm still on the fence about much of it. Time will tell.

I don't have a problem with medical marijuana so long as it's non-THC medicinals. God made it and it clearly has medical properties for a reason, so as long as people aren't using it to get high off of I feel like it can be very useful and shouldn't be criminalized.

Some late night thoughts I had last night...

I watched a video that featured a plague doctor during the Black Death. I learned that the beak of the mask was filled with posies because doctors back then thought bad air caused sickness. They were also covered head to toe in leather to prevent contact with bad air. They had the right idea but for the wrong reasons. Nowadays, doctors wear latex gloves, face masks, and clean scrubs to prevent the spread of germs because we understand that organisms too tiny to see can really mess us up.

This made me think of all the false things we believed in back then. Romans thought malaria was caused by bad air instead of mosquitoes and destroyed many wetlands vital to life. Many people were burned alive as witches because crops and cattle died when it was actually because of disease. The Black Death was caused by improper disposal of filth and a lack of bathing which attracted a lot of flea-infested rats and they thought it was a judgement from God. Superstition and the lack of understanding on how the natural world works was dominant until the scientific method was perfected.

Fast forward to today where we know for a fact that most of our oxygen comes from the Amazon rain forest and yet we are tearing them down for profit. Companies knew for a fact that tobacco and sugar caused health problems and yet they hid that fact and even lied about it to protect their profits for decades. We now know for a fact that tablets, smart phones, and the internet are starting to have a negative impact on humanity's physical, mental, and social health and yet we're still full speed ahead on innovating these technologies since they're profitable now.

Back in the day, people simply didn't know better. Today, people just don't care.

I agree, not just anyone should be prescribed it so they can simply get high, and sadly, like with pharmaceutical drugs, there will always be someone out there who wants to take advantage, and medical marijuana probably won't be any different. There are different forms of 'taking' medical marijuana/cannabis oil, it usually boils down to what works best for you and your needs. Everyone is different. Some of these forms do contain higher levels of THC, which is the element that reduces pain. Controlled levels specifically tailored to the individual patient by a medical professional is essential for some forms of the medicine and for certain patients with real medical conditions that call for pain relief.

However, for an 'end of life' scenario, I'm 100% okay with a patient getting the full high. IMO, it's no different than when the Bible says to give wine to those who are dying and need that comfort.
