Can you imagine having 60 million just to invest somewhere, the way these people throw around money is amazing.
Yeah, there were some wealthy Republicans funding the research for quite a while.

WASHINGTON — Paul Manafort and his former business associate Rick Gates were told to surrender to federal authorities Monday morning, the first charges in a special counsel investigation, according to a person involved in the case.
The charges against Mr. Manafort, President Trump’s former campaign chairman, and Mr. Gates, a business associate of Mr. Manafort, were not immediately clear but represent a significant escalation in a special counsel investigation that has cast a shadow over the president’s first year in office.

FBI informant in Obama-era Russian nuclear bribery cleared to testify before Congress
"The Justice Department on Wednesday night released a former FBI informant from a confidentiality agreement, allowing him to testify before Congress about what he witnessed while undercover about the Russian nuclear industry’s efforts to win favorable decisions during the Obama administration.
Justice Department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores confirmed to The Hill a deal had been reached clearing the informant to talk to Congress for the first time, nearly eight years after he first went undercover for the FBI.
“As of tonight, the Department of Justice has authorized the informant to disclose to the Chairmen and Ranking Members of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, as well as one member of each of their staffs, any information or documents he has concerning alleged corruption or bribery involving transactions in the uranium market, including but not limited to anything related to Vadim Mikerin, Rosatom, Tenex, Uranium One, or the Clinton Foundation,” she said."

Now I haven't heard anything more on this so Tucker may be checking the source more closely to see if what he said is true.

Paul Manafort, Who Once Ran Trump Campaign, Told to Surrender
Edit ... dang it, too slow
I remember Watergate. It is important to let the investigations roll out. One step at a time. And see if Trump fires Mueller at some point. And will the GOP support him?Dang it, indeed -- a vertical bingo's pretty much impossible since Donald will pardon his kids if Mueller even sneezes in their direction... And Bannon's probably got enough dirt on Donald to net him the same sweetheart deal.
I remover Watergate. It is important to let the investigations roll out. One step at a time. And see if Trump fires Mueller at some point. And will the GOP support him?

The case and trial of Manafort will take a few years though.
Can't wait until Trump Pardons Manafort!
My observations
1, So this is a guy trying to sound important and seeks to set up a meeting between Trump and the Russians. It's not Trump asking to meet with the Russians. The meeting never happened.
charges against who?
This is actually the smoking gun; George Papadopoulos, no one seems to be paying attention to him.
George Papadopoulos, secretly pleaded guilty earlier this month to making false statements to the FBI about the nature and extent of his contacts with foreign nationals who he knew had ties to senior Russian government officials.
Papadopoulos, 30, was a foreign policy adviser to Trump's campaign in early 2016. He sent at least six emails to top Trump advisers during the campaign offering to set up meetings with Russian officials, the Washington Post reported in August. The first of those emails was sent in March 2016 with the subject line " Meeting with Russian Leadership - Including Putin.".......his first interaction with an "overseas professor" with ties to high-level Russian officials occurred on March 14, 2016, weeks after he joined the campaign. That professor told Papadopoulos just over a month later that the Russians had dirt on Hillary Clinton that came in the form of "thousands of emails."

2, This is an unnamed professor offering Hillary's emails (interesting to know which ones) to Trump. So Trump could not have hired or had any conclusion with the Russians in hacking her server.
