...and what's the purpose of posting this little tidbit of "news"?
Sorry....but this ain't nothing new..........and it's not just limited to the secular side of the house. These types of circumstances are always news. Big Powerful person taking advantage of others, and then you find that many knew about it all along.

...and what's ironic to me is that many segments of evangelical Christianity consistently like to point this out.Hollywood to me, is a hotbed of hypocrisy and has been for a long time.

They appear to have enough problems in their own camp:

The lawsuits may not mean anything. That can be 'go away' money out of the small change fund for deep pockets types. They are normally the function of the lawyers on behalf of the client. Sex harassment is known for that kind of thing. Namely payouts. So there is an incentive to file because there may be a big payout at the end of it all. Study the O'Reilly and Fox news thing. These types of circumstances are always news. Big Powerful person taking advantage of others, and then you find that many knew about it all along. Then of course didn't say anything, because what they were getting from the person might be cut off.
His board members? Their reputations are on the line now too. I mean the guy had settled at least 8 lawsuits about his sick dynamic, and they claimed they didn't know? (eye rolls) Yes, they did. lol its the board member's job to know! They - like many others - just liked the cash cow, and wanted it to continue.
This type of sick human drama is always news.

I know! Why would anyone that is sexually harassed or assaulted not speak up? It's not like people would retaliate you or anything. The actions themselves aren't a surprise, but the fact that a lot of the media and "woke" types like Ashley Judd knew about it and kept silent is interesting.
Last month, Fox News agreed to pay Gretchen Carlson $20 million to settle her sexual harassment lawsuit against Roger Ailes, the network’s former Chairman and CEO, who resigned in the summer. In light of increasing evidence against Ailes, colleagues and high-profile figures who had previously doubted Carlson began apologizing for not supporting her. For example, Geraldo Rivera said in a Facebook post, “Like victims of sexual assault, those alleging harassment deserve the presumption of credibility.”
The Ailes case commanded a lot of media attention, but it was not all that unique. Even though the Bureau of Labor Statistics finds that 70% of employers provide sexual harassment training and 98% of companies have sexual harassment policies, the number of sexual harassment claims filed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is significant — there were 6,822 claims of sexual harassment in 2015. And we continue to hear stories about sexual harassment in academia, medicine, science, and engineering driving women out of STEM.
A former security guard at Kennedy Airport was forced to watch her coworkers have sex and subjected to constant sexual harassment because she rejected her boss’s advances, a new lawsuit alleges.
LaDonna Powell, 32, worked for the company now known as Allied Universal Security Services at JFK from 2012 to 2016.

These women weren't exactly rich celebrities when they were victims. Our culture is hardly sympathetic to victims who seemingly "allowed themselves to be in a vulnerable position". Confronting the issue is not something that victims are often willing to do because they often feel humiliated and that they will be judged harsher that the perpetrator. As time goes by it is easier to leave it in the past.Ashley Judd kept the abuse to herself (or at least didn't make a huge stink about it), but she should've said something.
Kap says something, but instead is told he should just shut up and play football.
What's a rich celebrity to do?
