issue a commandment?

This takes more thinking than just a quick answer.

If man’s objective while here on earth was to never ever sin, then the command does not help, nor does the tree, nor does satan roaming around, nor does man being left on his own.

What is man’s objective which man sinning might help in his fulfilling?

issue a commandment?

Why did God issue a commandment?

Jesus says, if you love me, keep my commandments (John 14:15).
Jesus says, you are my friends if you do what I command you (John 15:14).

Answer: To show to God that we love Him and that we are his friends;
Man (Adam) failed the first time in this test, but GOD had provided a way through Jesus to make this possible. With Jesus (GOD) we can now love Him and be His friends by His power working in us.

Just a thought.

But when the commandment was given, God gave it to Adam, for the woman had not yet been formed, being a lesser than the man.

Man was made in the image of God, woman was made in the image of man.

1 Tim 2:14
And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

Even though Adam was not deceived he did sin, by his eating of the fruit.

Rom. 5:12
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Could you perhaps restate that in layman's terms please ...

issue a commandment?

It was a riddle to manifest the woes, and evil of the serpent. HE was having a conversation with HIS son and spoke this in a parable which confused the serpent and led to the serpent revealing her evil by deceiving Eve. GOD is a Parable speaking GOD and Father Adam H.E is the Prophet of all Prophets. Therefore Father Adam H.E understood GOD which is why HE wasn't deceived.

it's about choice. if there is no opportunity to sin then the righteousness and love they have is superficial. Only with the choice of disobedience does righteousness and love to God really take shape.

The God of the Holy Bible is Almighty, and does as He pleases, and does not owe us an explanation for His actions! We must always remember that He is the Potter, and we are the clay. The words of king Nebuchadnezzar sum it up best:

"I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me; and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him Who lives forever: For His Dominion is an everlasting dominion, And His kingdom is from generation to generation. All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; He does according to His will in the army of heaven And among the inhabitants of the earth. No one can restrain His Hand Or say to Him, “What have You done?” (Daniel 4:34-35)

Dear Aseyesee. God is Love, and God wants loving sons and daughters. Jesus told us in Matthew 22: 35-40: " The first and great Commandment is: Love God with all thy hearts, with all thy souls, and with all thy minds. The second is like it; love thy neighbour as thyself." Verse 40 tells us: on these two Commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." God wants loving men and women.
The Bible tells us: give up our selfish and unloving ways of life, Love God with all our beings, and love our neighbour ( all we know and all we meet) love them as we love ourselves. Love is very catching, and God is Love and Jesus our Saviour died that we might live. God gave us two Commandments, Love God with all our hearts, all our souls, and all our minds. Love is very catching, and GOD IS LOVE. Let us therefore follow God`s very important Commandments: LOVE GOD, And Love each other. Jesus is our Way, and Matthew 7: 7-10: tells us: ASK and YOU SHALL RECEIVE. Let us just ask with loving words, then thank God and share all love and joy, and compassion with our neighbour. I say this with love, Aseyesee. Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.

.
To begin with, if their righteousness is based in their own trials with sin, then their righteousness is in itself superficial.

2 Cor. 5:21
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

The Righteousness we have is the Righteousness of God in Christ.

We do not attain Righteousness through our opportunity to overcome the sin choices we are exposed to.

It's Jesus Righteousness, because He overcame.

Commandment is to imply a law or rule that is to be obeyed and honored. It really clarifies that when He gave a commandment that there would be reward/or punishment for following it. To use the word for instance "requested"...God requested of us to follow His instructions. A request demands a response/reply but does not warrant a reward or a punishment. Commandments come from those of High Authority. The military refers to the ranking officers as "upper command". Commander of a ship is one who has the highest authority to give orders and have them followed. So with God His laws were given by Commandments.

Hi, sure God is love, but not only. He is also Justice and punishes sinners who do not accept His terms for salvation through Jesus Christ. The Bible says that "ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23), and that "the wages of sin is death (physical and spiritual) but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23). Jesus says that we "MUST be born again" (John 3:7) to be able to enter heaven, and if we do not truly repent of our sins and accept Jesus as our personal and ONLY Saviour, then we will perish in hell forever (see Luke 13:1-5), as Jesus Himself says: "unless you repent you will all likewise perish" (Luke 13:3, 5). Hell is a real place where ALL those to reject Jesus Christ will end up. There is NO Bible text that says that if we simply "love", we shall go to heaven!

Are you saying that Adam did not also eat the same fruit that Eve did? The Bible says that he did, and was also "deceived" and "disobeyed" the clear Commandment from God. I know of the text you refer to, but this is speaking of Adam's deception by satan directly, which was not the case, as it was Eve who was tempted to eat the fruit, and then passed it on to Adam. the devil deceived Eve, and Eve deceived Adam!

your question is about a commandment given to pre-fall Adam and Eve and so I answered it based on that context. The context of 2 Cor. 5:21 is far removed.

regardless who imparts the righteousness without choice it is still superficial.
