i feel very alone, any tips to help?

for a long time i have felt very lonely, i do not know how to deal with this, ever since my husband died i don't know what to do with myself. my sons do not want to spend time with me and i don't know how i get them to want to.

You'll most certainly receive much better feedback sis. My two cents: spend more time with God and in Christian fellowship. This is certainly a good place to be. An attractive woman like you shouldn't have any trouble finding a godly man. Try a singles group at a good local church. God bless .

Aw, I'm sorry, sons tend to have a way of doing that the older they get/are. I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your husband too!

Maybe you could try to find a new hobby or something fun to do that doesn't involve stress? Like a new class, exercise, or hobby group? Libraries offer free book clubs and other groups as well.

Joining CF was a good start. It's a little slow the last few days, but normally there are all kinds of people posting on stuff to keep you from getting bored.

Maybe you could ask God to find/send you a new pet or something. I have a kitten now, and he definitely keeps me from getting too lonely, LoL.

But I know how it is. To a certain extent it may be something you have to cope with. Just pray to God over it. He will probably remind you about verses like Philippians 4:8, but I'll let Him be the one to tell you.

I'm isolated a lot since my husband died. I tried joining forums, but quit all of them because CF is the best place for me. I also love reading Christian articles that are online.

My husband and I had a very grumpy neighbor next door. Her husband was nice, but she just wouldn't soften. They moved out and the house was empty for several years. After my husband passed away, the nicest neighbors I've EVER had moved in, but now they're searching for a larger house.

There are few things more attractive than a wise and godly woman - even to careless children. The more Jesus is seen in you, the more people will want to be around you. God says in His word that the more we are occupied with Him, the more we love what He loves (other people), the less we are occupied with ourselves. It's been my experience that the more I am, the less lonely I feel.

No one can be more comforting and constant than your Heavenly Father. He is always with you. There is no where and no time when He is not as close as thought to you. Can He not be enough? Can the Almighty Creator of the universe not be a friend sufficient to rid you of your loneliness? If His friendship can't rid you of your loneliness, no one's friendship can.

See John 14 and meditate on that, friend.
