Question about downloading

Hi everyone, i joined this forum so i could ask this question... so my situation is: i watch 2 foreign tv shows, and download subtitled versions of them so i can try to learn the language and have easier access to them when i want to watch them. The subtitled versions are not available to buy. However i do buy the original versions whenever they become available. Is it wrong to download these shows if i fully have the intention of buying them? Any opinions welcome, i've been struggling with this and whether or not it's morally wrong, i don't want to displease God. Thanks in advance!

Hello there! I will be the first to admit that I'm not an expert on this subject. That being said, I know that the actual laws around this vary widely between countries. If it is something that you feel terrible about and you don't want to do it, then you could just wait until them become available for purchase and download them to your computer. Also, I'd say you don't have any negative intent since you are worried about the morality of the issue and asking opinions. I know of a lot of my Christian friends that download shows or stream shows online with no guilt, but I suppose it is different for each person. I'm sure you will get a wide variety of opinions on this particular issue. Hope you find the answer you're looking for, God bless.

Thanks for your thoughts! I was one of the Christians that felt no guilt, but God brought it to my attention, so i resolved to buy the original material... it's not that i feel terrible, i'm just not sure that my new course is entirely correct either. God bless!

Oh ok, I see. Well at least now you are paying for the originals as well. So it's not like you're taking the free ones online without paying anything to the company. Also, you're downloading them in an attempt to learn the language, not to reproduce them or sell them to anyone, so I can see where you're coming from

If you own oryginal then it's fine , you can make i think 3 copy of your own oryginal aswell for your own purposes.
