God and Conception

Hi,

I don't have an issue with the Lord but I have a hard time understanding since
the situation I am in relates to me.

I was searching online and one website was sharing the scripture of Jeremiah,
that the Lord planned our conception and birth. Again, no issues here.

Issue is it goes on to say, it does not matter how the coupling of the mother and father but that the result is God planned the creation of this child.

I came across a news article online where some church leader impregnated 50 woman
some of whom were raped and very young age.

I was cheated on and now there is a child on the way that is not mine.

I am struggling to understand why God is Holy yet HE would allow unholy acts in
the creation of a human life. Then that seed grows up with the genetic make up of the parents,
he or she becomes good or bad, I have no clue, that's another question.

Is this one area where one just gives up and uses scripture of His ways are not our ways?

I am choosing to see this child as the Lords and not the circumstances that brought it
into the world, yet I am still human, hurt deeply and looking for understanding.

Thanks

Oh man that is such a tough one to give a good answer to. The thing that really set my mind at ease about God's justice was when I grasped that he really does over abundantly reward his followers through eternity in such a way that they will feel it was worth it, I think everyone in Heaven will feel like "oh my gosh if I'd known this was coming I'd live a harder life 10 times over!!!" But we can't see that now, we can only... try to trust it.

Perhaps the circumstances of the birth will make him stronger, it's often times the ones born from the worst conditions God makes the most out of. But do I expect this to just ease your pain? Of course not! My wife did some very... hard to deal with things before she met me. I can know she's redeemed and a new creation all the live long day, but does that mean it never hurts? Sure it does.

I do not believe that God sits there and decides--well I think I will give this child 2 heads, and that one no eyes, and this I will just let die in the womb, and that one I will give no arms or legs to, and how about I just fuse those 2 twins together. I know it says:

Isa_44:2 Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen.
Isa_44:24 Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;
Isa_49:5 And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength.
Jer_1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

What I believe is that God know what 2 people coming together will produce. But He has not actually taken mud and formed anyone since Adam and Eve. And He certainly isn't forcing any man to have sex with some woman so a certain baby will be made. We make our own choices---those who rape have made their choices, as well as those who consent. But God does not interfere with our free will. But He knows what any 2 people will produce, He can see right to the very DNA, each egg and each sperm and knows us before we are even conceived. We can rake dogs and breed them to have certain traits, and come up with different species. We manipulate the animals so certain ones will mate, and, in some cases, we inseminate them. God doesn't do that. In the wild, most animals are more picky about who they mate with than we are. They only time God actually interfered with conception was with Jesus.

God has no concern for how other people act.
That's a human thing where we wish we had powers like a god.
God is only concerned about how you deal with this world He set up.

Thanks Symph. I think the Lord is showing me what uncondtional love is and still being in the flesh, it's damn hard at times like these, yeah HE never said it would be easy.

Thanks for rest of the replies but it seems kind of off. God is not concerned how other people
act, why have 613 commandments then? What is man that you are mindful of him?

If God does not sit there and decide if new child has two eye, twins, etc... then HE is not
in full control? HE created biology as random roll of the dice?

Why was Abraham and Sarah's offspring delayed? Hagar conceived first, this was a sin, disobediance to God yet a miracle happened, though the outcome would be history of bloodshed between half brothers.

Did God not delay and set a time for Abraham and Sarah to conceive Isaac?

I am not arguing or saying I am right or righteous, anything like that, I am seeking
understanding like everyone else, trying to walk humbly before the Lord.

God bless

In the end--God is not concerned even so much with how we act but how we think. It will be our thoughts that determine our fates. Our actions are a product of how we think. For you can do a good thing, but for the wrong motives. We can not garner up "brownie points" with God for our good deeds, good deeds born out of love are what He seeks.
My believe that God does not sit there and decide to make horrible monsters out of babies in not held by most. But I am a firm believer that everything does not happen for the best, but that God makes the best out of everything that happens. A lot of things that happen are not his will but ours. If we let God help us through those things, they can be made into something good. I like to say that God makes a garden out of our cess pools---or that God will make a beautiful Mosaic out of the shattered pieces of our lives.
