  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I haven't but I have heard about it. How does it taste?

Its the best cake everrr. haha

It doesn't really have a particular flavor. Usually the cake is vanilla and so is the icing, then you sprinkle on the sprinkles into the cake mix and you have these pops of color. Then you mix in the other sprinkles into the frosting and you get pops of colors there too.

I don't have too much of a sweet tooth, but ice cream is definitely my favorite. Cookies and cream particularly.

I loveeee ice cream. I just tried Breyers M&M blast, it was so yummy.

We were just in Birmingham, AL, there's a biscuit from Alabama Biscuit Company I really like. It's not on their dessert menu but it's sweet so I count it as a dessert. It's got maple butter sauce & caramelized pecans. Heaven. I don't think there's any other locations than that one. I'm going to try to copy how they made it.

I love a good peach cobbler with REAL vanilla bean ice cream on top.

The biscuit sounds like a good idea, good luck exploring their recipe!

By real ice cream, do you mean homemade, or using fresh vanilla scrapings . . .?

The kind with the vanilla bean scrapings in them instead of the imitation flavor stuff.

Yum :bigeye: That looks amazing! I thought at first they were pancakes though. haha That sauce looks delicious.

This is so fun looking! It kind of looks galaxy like or to be honest if it were brown it would look liked hard wood floors haha It's pretty nifty though and I think it's nifty you've tried it before. Thanks for the info... does it make it taste bitter or something? I've noticed some food colorings make things taste bitter.
not really besides being a pain to cut (the glaze will stick to the knife if you don't soak the knife in warm water) at then end of it the flavor is just okay. sure it will turn heads but I find any other topping adds better flavor.

My daughter is an amazing baker and made my grandson his first birthday cake...

She also made a cake for the adults that was the best chocolate cake I have ever had; a triple-layer Guinness chocolate fudge cake. Yes, it has Guinness beer in the recipe. Incredibly rich and moist. Just amazing...

I could soak in a bath tub full of vanilla coke while eating a slice of carrot cake.

Haha... I hate to say it but I'm not a fan of carrot cake. :sorry: and I've never tried Vanilla Coke before.

I like Cherry Coke though. :satisfied:

Is that cookie dough on chocolate dipped pretzels?? Dang, that's a good idea. Nice and simple.

Why yes, yes it is! I know, right?

Also another good simple one is ritz crackers with peanut butter in the middle and you dip them in white chocolate (I'm assuming you could do milk chocolate as well) and then let them harden. Om nom nom! They are so addictive. lol

Also Rolo's squished between two mini pretzels are good too, just sayin. lol

Yumm that sounds amazing!

Have you ever been to Church's Chicken before? They have the best biscuits and they glaze them with a little honey on top. Amazing.

Ohh how cute! I love the grandson's cake. That is so awesome!

Yummm the adult cake sounds amazing. :bigeye: A lady one year made us a rum cake and when she gave it to us she goes "I can't see as well as I use to and I think I put too much rum in the cake" Lol You could smell the alcohol as soon as we opened the cake dish.

It was wonderful by the way. :satisfied:

You really should! They're so good! I'm sure you could even dip them in chocolate too.

Aww that is a shame. We have one about 20 minutes away but it's on the bad part of town. :sorry:

I want to try a Chick-fil-A... Never been to one and there are none for hundreds of miles. Ironically, the local university has one in their food court, but it is for students only; the group most likely to boycott them.
