Trump asked Comey to end investigation of Michael Flynn: source

Republican U.S. Representative Jason Chaffetz, chairman of a House of Representatives oversight committee, said his committee "is going to get the Comey memo, if it exists. I need to see it sooner rather than later. I have my subpoena pen ready."

In a letter to acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe, Chaffetz set a deadline of May 24 for the FBI to produce "all memoranda, notes, summaries, and recordings referring or relating to any communications between Comey and the President."

Republican Speaker of the House Paul Ryan backed Chaffetz.

"We need to have all the facts, and it is appropriate for the House Oversight Committee to request this memo," said Ryan spokeswoman AshLee Strong.

Trump must get over the power kick and start acting like President of the United States. The Republicans had control of the House and Senate during the latter part of the Obamas tenure so they had their opportunity - if Obama had terminated Director Comey over the Clinton Investigation, our conservative friends would have been first in line demanding his impeachment!

It needs to be investigated, and if true Trump will be impeached. Not removed from office, but impeached. That being said, it would also depend on what was said and if they have any more proof than Comey's word.

Also, don't think that the Republicans aren't going to take the opportunity to make Comey answer whether or not Obama or Lynch put pressure on him to kill the Clinton investigation and / or dig through his memos looking for one on the subject.

That honestly doesn't matter. There needs to be more than an accusation, even if it was recorded in February.

That said, I'm bound to be disappointed, as my dream scenario was that Comey was some combination of Hoover/Nixon and recorded EVERYTHING, and when they go digging, they find hard evidence of every corrupt thing either side has done since Comey was in running the FBI. That would be GLORIOUS.
