CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You know verses mean less than nothing to atheists they don't even read them so posting them is a waste of time.
Your God is a product of ancient minds, Vikings foolishly launched their boats over the bodies of slaves in the crazy belief it would bring good luck to the ship.
You showed someone on a cross.
A God was never put on a cross for two reasons, there is no evidence that there are Gods and we were not equating anything with anything.
Because (as we now know) they foolishly sacrificed tens of thousands of people to their imagined Gods.
Quetzalcoatl was just as imagined as every other God ever invented by men likewise the stories about them.
I can't because verses from the Bible mean as much to me as verses from the Koran mean to you.

Isn't the crucifixion and death of Christ 'justified' in the sense that it had to be done? It's all part of the divine plan isn't it?

When did that happen exactly?
It happened at the point He appropriated all the sins upon Himself.
Psalm 69:9 For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches [sins] of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.
And what did He say on the Cross when that happened?
Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
(The only time Jesus refers to His father as "God".)
And why is this important?
That saying was Jesus' third (of seven) sayings on the cross.
If He was just a man, how was He able to hang there and make three more sayings over a period of time with a heart that had exploded in His chest?

Look, I don't care whether you accept evolutionary biology or not. If you really want to learn more about it, I'd suggest popping over to this site as a starting point: Understanding Evolution (especially their Evolution 101 page)
All I'm pointing out is that evolutionary biology is an applied science (as per this thread on that tropic). That's a fact. As in, not really up for debate.
Believe it, don't believe, whatever you want. Science marches on.
