How's it going?
Since I'm new to this forum, it seems like an introduction is an order.
I am an agnostic atheist, which I think begs the question, "Why am I here".
I can promise you that I am not here to try to change anyone's beliefs. I have been part of a few forums over the years, moderated one, and am currently the administrator/unofficial SRE(If I can even call it that) for another. I am also the member of an atheist forum(coming from there, I know how frustrating it can be to have your forum invaded by someone who thinks a thread is going to convince them to change their metaphysical stance). I also won't mind if you feel so compelled to try to change mine(Though I am not looking for help converting). I am mainly here because I would like to get to speak with and learn from people that I probably don't have as much of an opportunity to speak with in my day to day life.
Bit of a backstory.
I grew up as a Catholic, and went to an Opus Dei Catholic school from 6th - 12th grade. There I took quite a few apologetics courses, and spent the last two years of HS and a year of college taking apologetics very seriously. Over time however, my positions on a lot of these issues changed. I moved from Catholicism to Agnosticism to Agnostic Atheism. I graduated last Fall with a degree in Food Science, and I am currently looking for a job...ideally working in a lab while I study for the GRE.
As far as a career goes, I am very interested in addressing food security/sustainabilty issues around the world. I am an avid supporter of entomophagy(I eat bugs), and have even hosted events and double blind taste tests to show that people can enjoy eating insects. I am also very interested in PFALs(Plant Factories w/ Artificial Lighting) and have begun working on building my own Food Computer recently.
Anyway, bit of a lengthy introduction as it is, so I'll cut it off there.
tl;dr
