  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is it time for Donald to bow out? (MOVED)

I think Trump should:

  • Step down from the candidacy

  • Continue to run

  • Not sure at this point

just because he was called to account for sexual hanky-panky.
It's not JUST his bragging about sexual assault. It's been a long, long stream of utterly indefensible remarks. He is an immature narcissist. Trump running the country is like a child driving a car. It would be a fiasco if he wins. God forbid! Even corrupt Hillary would be better.

I'm afraid Christians will vote for Hillary Clinton and I am sure she will win.
I'm voting for Mike Maturen, the American Solidarity candidate. The American Solidarity Party strikes me as the most Christian, pro-iife, pro-traditional values, etc., yet a heart for the poor and for the environment, for small businesses and small farms, etc.

I found my state ballot and I have a choice between NINE presidential candidates. I don't need to waste my vote by marking Trump to stop Hillary or marking Hillary to stop Trump. BOTH should bow out. Given that neither will, we should have the sense not to vote for them. I'm not looking back - I'm voting for Evan McMullen. If people still want to vote for one of these two LOSERS and one of them wins, it's not my fault. Abandon them both. Pick a decent candidate for a change.
You sure make sense to me.

There is nothing Trump did wrong towards me personally so as to forgive. We are talking about who is most fit to run this country.

As for him confessing his sins:

Here is a quote from his page on Wikipedia.

"Trump has said that although he participates in Holy Communion, he has not asked God for forgiveness for his sins. He stated, "I think if I do something wrong, I think, I just try and make it right. I don't bring God into that picture."

...
Check out Heb.9:22. Where can Trump get someone or something to shed blood for the remission of his sins? Who or what do you get to shed blood for the remission of your sins? Do you pray to God for the forgiving of your sins? Why would you? Why would anyone? Jesus shed His Blood for the forgiving of the sins of the whole world. There is no other that can shed blood for the forgiving of sins. Jesus will never die again, for any reason. Read the scriptures and learn.

I think the American Solidarity Party has much to commend itself. It is the American version of an old European Christian Democratic party. I think that's a very good thing. They aren't on the ballot in my state, but I'll have to see if that can be rectified in future years. I think the Republican Party is shot if Trump loses and if he wins it becomes the Trump Party. So I guess I'll be looking for a new party either way. The Republicans always talked pro-life but seldom delivered, and although a few had a heart for the poor, they were not always easy to find.

And yet throwing a vote away isn't responsible either. Others below the Republican and Democrat headers on a ballot may be superior in character, but they don't stand to win. And the vote cast to them insures one of the top two will thanks to that third party vote.

Please do not patronize me by saying about how I need to read the Scriptures and learn about Jesus and His sacrifice for mankind. I accepted Christ and dedicated my life to Him a long time ago and have studied the Scriptures deeply by way of prayer and by comparing Scripture with Scripture (Having studied the Word and having become a workman who is not ashamed. - 2 Timothy 2:15).

Unless you are a universalist, Jesus died for the majority of mankind's sins so as to offer them the free gift of salvation if they accept it and if they are responsible with it. This gift is Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 9:15) (John 3:16). Jesus is God; And God is holy. For God does not dwell inside sinful rebellious people. So people cannot live in serious unrepentant sin (like murder, theft, adultery) and still be saved. It doesn't work like that (if that is what you are suggesting).

Also, those who will take the mark of the beast and worship him do not even have their names written in the book of life from the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8). So Jesus never died for these individuals (otherwise their names would have appeared in the book of life from the beginning).

The blood only covers those who walk in the light as He is in the light (1 John 1:7).

So, after the latest revelation is it time for Donald to bow out? Why or why not? Please let's be adults about this; no polemics which is the reason I posted this here instead of News and Curent Events. Just state your reason for or against based on what you feel fairly certain to be true.
Ok, I'm Canadian and this election has been and still is, one of the best reality shows ever. Trump should definitely continue.
My view, from the outside, looking in, is this:

1: Trump is egotistical and a arrogant man. Says what he wants, what he means and what he thinks. No filter
Clinton is also egotistical and arrogant. She tickles your ears and says what she thinks you want to hear. Follows the script given to her by her puppet masters.

2: Trump doesn't pay taxes. Well, if I made as much as him and had to pay taxes, I would fire my accountants.
Hillary and her husband make millions of dollars, legally tax free as well. She pays herself a small salary and pays taxes on that as a smoke screen and a front.

3: Clinton is an all out liar, guilty of treason, a felon, controlled by the rich and powerful people of the US.
Trump is a buffoon. An old boys club kinda guy. Not unlike any of the men of his caliber in business or politics. Not any different than Billy boy Clinton.

4: Both are making promises that they cannot and don't even plan on keeping. C'mon.....it's an election. In my province of Ontario our Provincial Premier, kinda the prime minister of our province, blatantly broke EVERY promise that he used to get elected. Cost Ontario 10's of Millions of dollars to move some natural gas powered electrical power generating stations out of his area where he needed to be elected to a seat in the province. He did this just to get votes. Politicians are not trustworthy ethical people. We will be paying for this move for decades.

5: Putin cannot stand Hillary
Trump is "saying" he would improve relations with Russia.

In the end, you are stuck. You have no real choice. Hillary is a vote for the old school of puppet politics. Nothing will change, US will go deeper in debt, lose world power, fight all over the globe, unrest in your homeland. The middle class will slowly disappear as it is planned to.
Trump is a vote of rebellion from the old establishment. Nothing will change, congress will control him. He will probably be assassinated.

Either way, in my opinion, this election is a pivotal and highly significant event in the history of this world and the coming of our lord. Many believe that Obama will not let the election take place or the results of the election stand. They believe that he is the last President of the US and he wants to help form a global state, a one world government.
Whatever happens. Fasten your seatbelt. We are in for one exiting fall and winter on the global political, military and economical fronts.

Hillary Clinton will become president of USA. I say it because Holy Spirit opened it to me.

Putin doesn't care who will become president of USA. It's very wrong to say he likes Trump or hates Hillary. He said many times and it's true that he doesn't care. He says that pre-election promises or other ritorics is one thing, but post-election actions is completely another thing. He knows that not Clinton or Trump really matter. Real power of USA is not in its president. So no matter who will become president, reality after that is not related so much to who is president. Maybe a little difference, but in general not really matter. So no emotions like I like this guy or I like this lady. It's politics no place for emotions or feelings. Very pragmatic.

Have you heard the actual tape yourself?
Yes. Here is a shortened version with it. Notice Trump:
  • Makes excuses saying it's locker room banter
  • Deflects saying that someone else is worse
  • Changes the subject constantly

I will start. There are a lot of turds floating around in Trumps end of the pool; something tells me there are going to be quite a few more. For almost 70 years he has lived and said as he thought fit without caring about consequences; those actions have now come home to roost. In HRC's end of the pool there are also a lot of turds floating around and probably quite a few still to appear. Since she has been with Bill they have been accused of corruption and cronyism everywhere they have gone.
So I see a choice between a boorish, loutish braggert and a suspected corrupt politician.....The proverbial devil and the deep blue sea. For the first time in my voting life I have to seriously consider leaving my X out of the presidential vote. Anyone else have an opinion? And as I said please keep it civil.

I would never say anything against either candidate. Voting and choosing a candidate for voting is a very private, personal thing and not open to insults and conjecture at all.

I am afraid you would be really shocked by the language some men in private use when talking about sexual encounters. Being shocked by some words and not others seems rather silly to me. It is the hearers that determine what language is acceptable.

It is a sad fact there are some women who like being groped by the rich & famous. When I was a teenager, girls were lining up to score with John, Paul, George & Ringo. Another sad fact is that there are some men who take advantage of these females.

For some men, their attitude towards sex has little to do with their attitude towards women in general. Trump actually has a record of some rather advanced attitudes towards women in business.

If Trump's past words & actions are part of the debate then so too should those of Hillary & Bill.

That doesn't negate Trump being one.
And that doesn't negate his potential to be an effective president ... well at least it hasn't for a string of other womanizing presidents!

If Trump's past words & actions are part of the debate then so too should those of Hillary & Bill.
Many were bothered that Trump did not discuss Bill and Hillary's "War on Women" in the first debate. Trump historically has stayed civil toward a person or subject until he attacked by the person or on that subject. The Miss Universe issue and this old private moment video open the subject, and open Hillary to ridicule about how she treats women.

Now that Hillary has open that can of worms, Trump has free license to point out how she an her husband treat women. Many had suggested he use any opportunity to change the subject to that, or to what happened at Benghazi, Libya, or many other things. I think he is overdue bringing up these past abuses, and look to see him do that on the other subject as well.

It seems that, if we elect Hillary, there will be war with Russia. This will not be good, but the globalist agenda in pushing that, and Hillary will continue that. Our Generals are on record stating that policies pushed on them will start a war. Not sure how electing Trump will avoid that, because of the potential with the lame-duck pres. we will have, but he has reached out to Putin, and it may be enough to avoid war.
