  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is it time for Donald to bow out? (MOVED)

I think Trump should:

  • Step down from the candidacy

  • Continue to run

  • Not sure at this point

America is in crisis and on life support. Washington politicians are a cesspool of corruption and have decieved the people long enough for most to realize what's going on. This is why an outsider like Trump was able to get a record number of votes in the Republican Primaries. Thankfully, we have a balance of power so that a President can't destroy the country quickly. I'm of course talking about Clinton if she gets elected. Clinton is the ultimate insider and would do tremendous damage to the country. Just the influence on the future of the Supreme Court would be a horrible blow to the future of this country if Clinton is elected. I truly think that Clinton would finish our country off. On the other hand, I think that Trump would do his best to do good things he has laid out for this country. The next thing is the hope that there are enough honest politicians left in Washington to help Trump get the job done. I will vote for Trump because I firmly believe that he is the only one who can keep Clinton out of the Whitehouse.

40 Ridiculous Things Donald Trump Said:

3. "I wrote The Art of the Deal, which is — I guess the biggest — I think the biggest — the biggest-selling business book of all time, and [the Iran nuclear agreement] is not the art of the deal, this is the art of a person that has no idea what he's doing." (Right Wing Watch)

On Ebola:

9. "The U.S. cannot allow EBOLA infected people back. People that go to far away places to help out are great — but must suffer the consequences!" (Twitter)

On himself:

11. "Sorry losers and haters, but my I.Q. is one of the highest — and you all know it! Please don't feel so stupid or insecure, it's not your fault." (Twitter)

35. “The only card [Hillary Clinton] has is the woman’s card. She’s got nothing else to offer and frankly, if Hillary Clinton were a man, I don’t think she’d get 5 percent of the vote. The only thing she’s got going is the woman’s card, and the beautiful thing is, women don’t like her.”

Hillary deleted 33,000 emails rather than turn them over after they were under subpoena. If one of us had done that we would be wearing steel bracelets.
And Christians here want her to be president? WOW!

There is no sense of even debating this if one were to read a list like that.

Also, I seriously doubt Obama's or Hillary's list of dumb things they said comes close to comparison to Trump's here.
Interesting. You don't know what they've said, but nothing is going to change your mind.

You might as well have just said "I like Hillary" and done without the cockamamie rationalizations.

Would you want Hilter to run this country? That is how Trump appears like to me. He yells just like him. He is even racist like Hitler. Trump is a bully;...
If it matters, you lost all credibility with me with that ridiculous rant. :dontcare:

So, after the latest revelation is it time for Donald to bow out? Why or why not? Please let's be adults about this; no polemics which is the reason I posted this here instead of News and Curent Events. Just state your reason for or against based on what you feel fairly certain to be true.

Why stop now?

So he said some lewd words. It was not anything that we have not herd before and actually most have said themselves.

Men talking say those kinds of things so it is really not a revelation. NO I am not condoning the words and NO I personal do not use that kind of language. All I am saying is that I have been in a lot of men's locker rooms in my lifetime, and 2 years in the Army and 1 in combat and if you think that what Mr. Trump said is something spectacular and outrageous, then you just are not in touch with reality.

It just seems to be rather hypocritical to be outraged over words said by some that most of us has said as well at one time or another. I would have to ask all people if they would like a personal conversation taped of them 12 years ago played for all to hear.

Then as for those Republican leaders coming out to say they no long support Trump is silly. They were not going to vote for him in the 1st place and this only gave them an excuse to justify their choice.

The Clinton camp has had those recordings for a long, long time. It came from a Radio talk show so it should not have been a surprise to anyone at all. They only pulled them out now, on a Friday because of the new release of another Hillery email saying years ago that "a politician has to have two personalities. One for the regular people and one for the Elite people".

IMO, if Mr. Trump will apologize, being contrite and meaningful, asking for forgiveness, this will not be a long lasting concern.

What we need to grasp is that Mrs. Clinton destroyed 33,000 "Confidential" emails AFTER they were supenoed by congress. That my friends is breaking federal and she should have been arrested. He said something outrageous but she did something UNLAWFUL which could and may have lead to deaths of American citizens.

What of those Christians "here" that want Hillary to be president? Bringing serial rapist Bill with her into the White house.

It could be true, but there is thing that you need in a court of law for a conviction of such crimes. It's called evidence. But let's say such evil is true, I would have to first say that first: If such a thing is true, it would be gut wrenchingly horrible for his victims (and I cannot imagine their pain). Second, if it were true, Bill needs to repent of these sins to God (if he has not done so).

But even if these things were true, do you honestly think Bill would continue such stupidity in his older age in the White House again? But let's compare the lesser of two potential evils here. Trump has the potential to end this country as a nation. I really do not see that happening with Clinton (even though I am not proud of many things involving her). They are both bad. But do you still want America to stand? I see nothing but destruction when I look at Trump. You cannot be a hot head and be near nuclear codes. Sort of like drinking and driving. The two just don't mix.

This election has been a farce from the beginning.

Trump, the man who is not remotely conservative or godly, being voted for by conservatives and Christians.
Standing against Clinton, a long-term ally and "friend"?
Now possibly being called to resign and shoe-in Clinton (who is probably going to win anyway).

The world would be laughing its head of at America if the stakes were not so high.

I agree with you about Trump completely. BUT if you think Mrs. Clinton is a friend and long term ally my friend, you have not been following politics, newspapers or reality the past 30 years. I am not trying to be mean spirited to you but honestly, you can not believe she is your ally.

Allow me to give you example. Look it up. Charles Colson was arrested and served I think 2 years in prison because he had ONE FBI file on a person in his possession. Mrs. Clinton was discovered to have 52 in her possession by the same FBI when she was the 1st lady. Have you heard whether or not she went to jail.???

As a lawyer in Ark. in the 80"s, She defended the man who raped a 12 year old girl and was found to be laughing at the little girl.

Truth of the matter is, there are devils on both sides of the aisle this election. One wears a suit and one wears a pantsuit.
As a Christian, Republican or Democrat, which devil that you don't trust are you willing to let rule your life for four years?

That is the question November 8.

James 5:16 -
Confess [your] faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Matthew 6:14 -
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

Do those verses apply to everyone or just some. I think I heard Mr. Trump confess and ask for foregiveness.

Amen!

At my age, I would just like to vote for someone worthy to be the president instead of voteing for the lesser of two evils.

1980 and 1984 was the last times I had the opportunity to do that.

A bigger tell is the quote........."I didn't know what that "C" meant on those 103 classified pieces of paper".

She was only the highest ranking official on the Presidents cabinet and she didn't know????

If that had been you you would be in jail and we would not be having this lovely conversation.
