  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is it time for Donald to bow out? (MOVED)

I think Trump should:

  • Step down from the candidacy

  • Continue to run

  • Not sure at this point

If you are asking if I think it was OK to say those things, my answer would be no of coarse not.

But if Trump says that it was just talk and not true, then maybe that is the truth. Maybe he was just talking big. I don't know and neither do you.

You are trying to rationalize what he said as being okay. On one hand you are saying that you do not approve of what he said and then other other hand you are saying he might not have truly meant what he said?

For many reasons I am not voting (Which I do not feel that these reasons are of anyone's business to know, except for those people in whom I can trust). But like I said, I would only vote if I knew that my vote would keep Trump out of office. But again, you are labeling me as a hard core Hillary supporter when I am not. For if I was a supporter of her, why would I say she is the better of the two evils?

Your post spoke for you.

You can see whatever you want to see. But I do not think I agree with the label that you are placing upon me, though. Also, a what if scenario of me trying to keep a bad person out of office by potentially voting for a person who is lesser in evil or who do less harm to this country than Trump does not mean I am a hard core Hillary supporter. But like I said, I am not voting. So how can I be a Hillary supporter?

In any event, may the Lord's peace and love be upon you today.

That was not why he lost the first debate. He lost because he got caught twisting the facts about denying Obama was born in the US, and got backed into a corner about his taxes saying that if he paid no taxes it made him smart.
That may be your own personal take on what happened, like your "I'm just nauseous" declaration. If so, we now have it on record, thanks.

No...I'm saying that he may NOT have done the things he was bragging about doing. He said last night that he did not DO those things.
Whether he did DO them or was just saying he did, doesn't make what he said OK.

Since he's not running, your second choice is Hillary.
LOL There you go again.
Why don't you just be honest and come right out and ask who, if anyone, I will be voting from instead of playing the digging game?
I have seen this tactic used many times. Put people on the defense so that they give out information in order to defend themselves. ;)

i don't need to know anything further.

Not asking you to "defend" yourself.

You have the right to support and/or vote for anyone you wish.

As you say, that is between you the living God, brother in Christ and beloved son of the Most High God.

Then you need to stop claiming that you know, when you don't.

If I may comment, Hank, you've made it very clear in earlier posts whom you favor. And if that's not correct, you can hardly criticize Brinny for concluding the obvious--using those posts as a guide.

LOL!

Actually my post were merely to try to present facts about things that have occurred or were said, both by Clinton and by Trump.
Brinny and now you are claiming that I favor, not sure what favor means, Clinton. While Jason questioned me about defending Trump, even though I wasn't .
See how that works.

I didn't defend what may have been pay-to-play by the Clintons. In fact I said to the person who posted an article about that, it was an excellent post.

However, I think that the poster, and others, are getting the Clinton Foundation monies for Haiti confused with the Government contracts, for the restoration of Haiti, given to some companies who didn't fulfill their obligations, one committed out and out fraud, and the two people, Bill Clinton and the Haiti leader, did not make the best decisions about how our tax dollars and other countries monies were spent in Haiti. They didn't need soccer fields, they need water and sewer systems, electricity, and decent homes.

We can look at the restoration effort in Iraq as another example of failing people. For at least a couple of years the Iraqi people still didn't have their water and electric utilities restored, things that existed when we bombed them with shock and awe.

I cannot read Trump's mind or Clinton's mind. But I like to see evidence for what people say about each other, otherwise it is merely gossip.
Sometimes I am wrong about my information and I welcome correction when I do.

Trump has has not ever used drugs, smoked, or drank.
Here's why:

Mr. Trump states that he has never "drank" and is clear that he is not addicted to drugs or alcohol or tobacco.
Most cocaine users are confident they are not addicted. Nearly all users tell their children not to use.

Cocaine is a drug.

Since you ask, here's what I see. Yes, you generally reflect upon something relating to one of the candidates without coming right out and saying "I'm voting for X" or "We need to elect X." But the posts are so consistently one-sided that it strikes me as a little game for you to now act wronged because someone simply assumed the obvious based upon your own words. And that's all it was--a reference to your apparent preference in candidates. I don't see any reason to act like it was a big deal.
