CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Brinny, I am personally voting for neither one of them.
However, an argument can be made that one should simply vote for the lesser of evils. Trump is temperamentally unfit. It would be like having a child in charge of the forklift. It really doesn't matter what his political views are. He has the psychological makeup of a Dictator. Now, there is a limit to how much damage he could actually do, since we have separation of powers. Nevertheless, it would be a fiasco.

No matter who is elected, we are in for a world of hurt. All votes are lost votes. In my opinion, a vote for "I am angry about the options and here is what I think should have been on the ticket" is the best I can do.

You know, all candidate and all previous presidents all had bad stuff even much worse then Donald Trump. But Trump is attacked like nobody before him because he want to fight Satan. Satan fight back. Yes he's sinful. Who's not sinful? Question is, he is like David against Goliath. Or like voice of real American people against banks owners which stole power on USA. It important! I do know if it was just 'locker room talk' maybe it was. But when asked about it last night he tried not to answer that very direct question. So either he didn't want to admit that he was just talking big, like a teenage boy, or he really did those things and is afraid that saying he didn't will come back to bite him.

I am not voting for her; And I do not agree with her morally as a Christian on every point, either. I also believe that if a true Christian country were to exist, it would be like Israel back in the Old Testament (Whereby it was only one religion) with God directly ruling that nation. But seeing we live in a country where we have to deal with free will and certain freedoms that have already been established at it's foundation, we have to deal with how it already exists. It doesn't mean I am support of the current state of our country. I wish we were like Israel of old. So your blind claims that I am in support of her ideology is simply not true. I am just saying she is far better choice out of the two evils we are presented with.
For can you not see the dangers in having a self centered, hot headed, bigotted, and ignorant person to be president?
I pray that you will see where I am coming from one day.

Jason, I think that would be the case for me as well. I can't bring myself to vote for Hillary, she really makes me nauseous, so I'm voting American Solidarity because it seems the most Christian to me. However, that's only because I think Donald is losing. If I truly thought he could win, I'd panic.

For many reasons I am not voting (Which I do not feel that these reasons are of anyone's business to know, except for those people in whom I can trust). But like I said, I would only vote if I knew that my vote would keep Trump out of office. But again, you are labeling me as a hard core Hillary supporter when I am not. For if I was a supporter of her, why would I say she is the better of the two evils?

If you are asking if I think it was OK to say those things, my answer would be no of coarse not.
But if Trump says that it was just talk and not true, then maybe that is the truth. Maybe he was just talking big. I don't know and neither do you.
