  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is it time for Donald to bow out? (MOVED)

I think Trump should:

  • Step down from the candidacy

  • Continue to run

  • Not sure at this point

I think its beyond any one man to change much,if any change were taking place they would just take him out like they did Kennedy.

I asked if he's for real, not about if hes capable to fulfill his promises or not. He's for real or very good pretender you think?

Look, we are talking about who is most fit to be Commander in chief. Yes, they both have issues morally. They are both of the world system. But which morals are worse to deal with is the question that would make them unfit to be head of state. Also, who has a better understanding on the political policies and a track record in helping people in the political world? It is Clinton and not Trump. Yes, again, no politician is going to be squicky clean. But again, who is most fit to run this country with a cool head and or who is truly looking out for our best interests? If you have stars in your eyes for Trump, then go ahead and stay in bed with him (and his disruptive and ignorant attitude and his disrespect for other human beings).

But this is what I seen last night in being a careful observer of the 2nd debate.

I was very careful to observe this from Trump (that was very different than what Hillary had done).

1. Trump didn't answer the questions. He ignored the questions of the audience and the journalists.
Trump didn't address any of the audience members by name and or looked them in the eye like Hillary did. She actually talked to them whereas Trump ignored their question and jumped immediately to ranting like a child again in an off topic discussion. This shows me that he really doesn't care about the people. He is only interested in his agenda alone.

2. Trump said that the sex tape was "locker room talk." This means that his apology is not a real one. He is saying it is okay to speak bad words as long as you say it behind closed doors within a locker room. Then he shifts to the topic of ISIS so as to change the topic because it is uncomfortable for him to talk about. He doesn't really see what he did as wrong. So he changes the topic quickly. One of the foundations of us being Christians is in being sorry for our sins. If you are of the Christian camp that says you do not need to have a Godly sorrow to be forgiven (Then just please ignore this and move on). Anyways, we know that the very foundation of our faith rests in being forgiven by God by us being truly broken or sorry about our wrong or our sins. Trump seems to have yet again trumped up on this. He has no real remorse over what he has done in regards to his view on women. There is no change with him. So if he treats women this badly, imagine how he is going to treat the rest of America. Are you seriously thinking this man is a better of the two evils? Seriously? If so, I would have to ask that you pray to God so as to have your moral compass re-checked.

3. In how Trump was going to deal with Islam-phobia: He actually said that they need to do something and not him. In other words, he doesn't care about such a thing. He wants there to be Islam-phobia. He wants to shut our borders to immigrants coming into this country. But what if you found your true love over in another country and you are going thru the process to bring her here? How would that make you feel? Granted, I am not saying we as a country should just let everyone in without a proper background check and that we should not monitor the most likely profile canditates for causing terrorism. But we as a nation are founded on us being immigrants in the first place. Yes, it is true. We are not a Christian nation. If it were closer to being a Christian nation, then believing in the Bible alone would be more encouraged and the rest of the religions would be discouraged (although they could still have the right to worship as they pleased freely). But even still, Israel did not allow for other religions. So if God was truly leading this country directly, there would be no other religion besides the one He lays down of course. But seeing that is not the case, we have to deal with the reality of this country in the state that it exists in.

4. Trump put down his own running mate by saying he disagreed with him on the Syria issue. But Trump did not actually say what he was going to do in order to help the Syrian situation. Clinton at least offered a few specific points or suggestions that could help that. Whether they were good ones or not is another matter. But at least she has a plan and the experience in dealing with these kinds of situations to do so. Trump is a hot headed, bigotted business man. How is he going to truly help the Syrian situation?

5. Trump threatened to see Clinton in jail. This just goes beyond the standard way we do justice here in America. He disregards taxes, the law, and the people.

Yes, there may be things you may not like about Clinton. But you have to be careful about what the Media says and what is actually true. But even if you were to look at the bad points by Clinton, they are nowhere near the problems and bad points that Trump has. If he were to lead this country, it would be a disaster. How folks can watch these last two debates and not see that is beyond me. This has now going beyond knowing how to read people. Trump has made himself openly look bad yet a second time even more. I will pray for him and his salvation and that he never becomes president at any point in the future. For he would be extremely dangerous for this country.

Look at how he acted during the debate. Spoiled immature narcissist. Even worse than Hillary (and you'd think that'd be impossible). There is something psychologically wrong with the man. He should step down and let his running mate take the reins, a man who is qualified and temperamentally balanced.

:sleep:Yeh, sure. In our dreams, perhaps.

In the first debate, Trump was said to have been too reserved, taking the blows nonstop so as not to look like a "narcissist" or "immature." In the second debate, he countered Hillary's stale accusations...so now you get to call him the same names. What, exactly, do you think would be the best course for him to adopt in the third debate--sit in the audience and watch the moderator and Hillary share anti-Trump insults?

Trump said he will never quit.
Of course he won't. He's a pathological narcissist. He will believe truly that any call for his resignation is not based on his behavior but is a conspiracy against him.

Look how he's already stating that he can't possibly loose without voter fraud? What a big baby.

That was not why he lost the first debate. He lost because he got caught twisting the facts about denying Obama was born in the US, and got backed into a corner about his taxes saying that if he paid no taxes it made him smart.

He IS an immature narcissist. It's as plain as the nose on your face. Psychologists have warned the American public about this.

then Billy Bush, who hosts a Hollywood TV show with women, should resign his job instead of apologizing as he's doing now.
Billy Bush, nephew of H.W. Bush, was 33 yrs. old at the time. He was still young and maybe impressed with Trump's bragging about his power. He has apologized for his part in that conversation and his actions without making any excuses or comparing his behavior to anyone else. It appears to me that he has matured and is truly embarrassed and sorry.
I keep wondering if we're supposed to take seriously the "outrage" shown by the folks over this episode from eleven years ago. The people stepping forward to say they can't abide Trump NOW are the same ones who couldn't abide him and said exactly that--throughout the past year.

It looks very much like a great opportunity for them to appear justified, to have something tangible to hang their opposition on, and they're going to make the most of the opportunity.
This was like the last straw and the Republicans are desperately trying to preserve the image of the party, they need to if the representatives that are up for reelection this year are to survive.
Hillary is just now being asked is it proper for a politician to be 2 faced. Her emails about how she speaks to Wall street differently than she does the public.
Now she's claiming that remark was about Lincoln after watching a Spielberg movie.
No she said that the remark that was quoted from a SPEECH that she gave was about how Lincoln knew how to talk to people in order to get support. That is called 'negotiating'.
But in any case. Even if Qaddafi was deserving death. You simply cannot watch such awful torture and murder and clap and laugh with such crazy look in her eyes. No woman, no human being will do it!!!!! If you have right mind, it's absolutely unacceptable.
Well when do you say she was laughing while watching? Where is your proof of this thing you keep saying?
You discount the people of Haiti?

God have mercy.
What? Please explain.
I already said that the construction company that got one of the big contracts did not do the work they were suppose to in Haiti. How is that discounting the Haitian people?

Trump isn't genuinely sorry. He is still excusing it as locker talk.

Right?

I do not support Clinton on every issue, no. I do not agree with her even on all her morals. But what I do know is that she is more fit to run this country better than Trump by a long shot. Yes, both canditates are not pretty. But there really is no other choice at this point. If Trump were to get into office, this country would be destroyed. That is not a maybe or an if. The way he handles himself in these debates would not change in how he would run this country.

This is extreme example of Trump in office:

"Mr. President, an enemy country is attacking us. What do you want to do?

Trump replies without looking him in the eye and yells into the air:
"What we need to do is focus on the stock market and build up our economy so we can building more guns and weapons. We need to make it even harder for immigrants to come into this country." "Oh, by the way is Hillary still in jail?" "This is probably her fault again."

Again, this is an extreme comical example. But my point is if he acts the way that he did during the Presidential debate, he is not going to be that much different in office. He would be a disaster for this country.

I'm just nauseous. All I can say is that I'm more at peace than ever at my decision to vote third party.

I decided not to vote at all. But if I knew Trump had a chance of winning, and my vote could help, I would vote for Hillary to keep him out of office. For he would be disasterous for our country.
