However, if we were to look into the connections of people who sit on the board of directors of all companies who have obtained government contracts, I believe we would be very surprised. The same person may sit on several different board of directors of companies, banks, retirement administrators, etc. The investors in those companies would be even more surprising as to whom they are related to in government.
Dick Cheney's involvement with Halliburton was my first real eye opener because it was just so obvious.

It sounds like to me that you were honest in your business. You weren't doing things like buying yachts, fishing boats, Rolls Royce and such vehicles, and ski condos in order to reduce your tax liabilities.

The tax code is written so that your corporation can buy these things for business use and charge off the cost of them. By buying these things from another corporation you keep their people employed. Surely you can understand how this works.

How much more the things of this life! Therefore, if you have disputes about such matters, appoint as judges even men of little account in the church! I say this to shame you. If Trump has a terrible performance tonight and he does decide to withdraw, rather than risk the worst defeat in modern history, then the GOP will have to quickly find a replacement, probably Pence, and a new VP candidate. Then they would have to immediately contact all of the Sec of States and ask for ballot changes. Considering time constraints, the GOP would be lucky to get 20 or 25 states to change their ballots. This scenario would almost certainly end up in a Clinton victory, unless the Courts ruled that the Tump-Pence votes could be counted along with the Pence-new VP votes and that seems very unlikely.
