  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Why?

Does El Niño speak of Peter Pan?

Are you feeling well, AV?

That would be like the polls closing early on election day.

Wouldn't be the first time after an election doesn't go the way you rig it.

Probably some sort of argumentum ad populum -- you know, "the Bible is popular so it's special...

I dunno, I gotta wonder how much of the Bible's popularity is because it has been around a long time...

Do scientists belive in unicorns?
In science one does not believe but either accepts or refutes. Believing is more to do with faith.
If the evidence is there then scientists who adhere to the laws of science will formulate a theory that explains those evidences and makes accurate predictions.

I really don't get it. Uni corn....one horn. What's so difficult about it? Is not a rhynosaucerous a unicorn? Are there not possibly extinct animals that had unicorns?
I believe unicorns pose a real challenge for scientists.

And mythology in general.
I would assume scientists file it that way, pending resolution.

In other words, MYTHOLOGY is their COLD CASE FILES.

Calling it mythology puts the burden on lower class citizens (koine), whereas cold case would keep the burden on them.

So you are saying a rhynosaucerous is myth? When you want to "question" the bible...please go and ask a real KJV bible reading christian.

Unicorn should not even be questioned from either christian or atheist side. It means an animal with one horn. What is so hard to understand about that?

That sounds more like a description than a specific animal.

Why, KJV bible reading Christian's are usually the most ignorant.
