  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What is the greatest evidence against the theory of evolution...?

You are defining intelligence as being like a human? It's the combination of the large brain and manipulator limbs that allowed us to develop so far.

No. Those are only the two superficial features. There is a big factor hidden in there, which we do not know what that is yet.

You have a story, about a thing without any evidence and you don't even know what it is or how it affects anything else... but you still feel that it should be taken seriously as a "fact"?

Not if they don't know what flint looks like. Or that it is even good for making a spark.

Sure, not everywhere has flint.
But when ONE human discovered it, then the skill will spread like fire.
That is a very sign of high intelligence.

not gonna bother even commenting on the other ones?

I don't know which one is human or not. I thought you "know". I simply followed you.
It does not really matter since all the criteria are morphological.

What I said to you ARE evidences.
What other evidence you like to see?

The moment you claim that we can just know stuff without even testing it is the moment you admit that the one making all the presumptions and is unwilling to actually learn anything is you.

I have learned everything in the best way.

The problem is that after a chimp is taught on whatever, then that is the end of it. It can not be passed along to other chimps.

That is the vital sign of low intelligence.
And you are wrong in this too:

http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/1985-07-07/news/0310230280_1_loulis-chimp-washoe

In this case if the knowledge that these chimps learned was not of high enough use in the wild it would be lost. But it shows that chimps can and do teach each other.

The sort of information passed on here probably is taught in the wild:

What are you even talking about? In case you have forgotten, I was stating that making fire predates our species. Then, you claimed the species I listed that could make fire prior to us (and in the case of the Neanderthal, around the same time as us) were actually humans. I didn't immediately find an image comparing the skulls of a modern human and Homo habilis, so I just posted an artist's rendition confident that I only needed 1 example (and I already had 2) of skull comparisons for you to realize that Neanderthals and Homo erectus are definitely not the same species as us. But I guess you need a change in the prescription of your glasses if you can honestly say you can't tell which of these skulls is a modern human one
sapiens_neanderthal_comparison.gif
despite the fact that I distinguish the two, the image itself points out major differences, and the entire morphology of the skulls is different. We have found more than 30 Neanderthals from various areas, so don't try the whole bone disease thing some creationists spout. Furthermore, Neanderthal DNA actually has been preserved, so even if you thought that using the bones was an unreliable method of species determination, the DNA doesn't lie. Neanderthals not only aren't the same species as us, but they aren't one of our ancestral species.

Although, I do have to make a correction, Homo habilis made tools, but did not start fires. Sorry about the error, here's a nice interactive timeline for human evolution though http://humanorigins.si.edu/evidence/human-evolution-timeline-interactive

You are the master of your dog.
Does that explain the difference?

No it doesn't.

And the reason it doesn't, I think, is because you don't know anywhere near enough about evolution to make any comments about it.

Are you purposely ignoring my previous example of a non-human ape teaching his offspring sign language with no outside encouragement?
