  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What is the greatest evidence against the theory of evolution...?

Wow really you have never heard it said that there are no two snowflakes that are alike? That is just common knowledge if it's accurate or not. Do you live in Texas or something where they almost never even heard of snow? Anyways now you know that I am not the one saying it. So you can do a google search and check into it for yourself. Just so you know for future reference. When I run a google search I look to see who is talking. So in this case National Geographic and the Washington Post are at the top of the list of organizations that say no two snow flakes are alike. I consider them to know what they are talking about. Often I look to see what the Universities have to say about it. While this does not make it true it does indicate what they (science) is teaching our students.

I've heard lots of false statements.
And "Common Knowledge" doesn't mean "Correct" either.
If you want to see that Two Different SnowFlakes can be alike, fell free to browse the growing collection.

For the most part, you all are doing good. But every now and again, the flames start and the report thread starts getting gummed up.

So how about you take a second before you hit Post Reply and think about whether you are making a point, or just insulting? It will make things go a lot smoother.

Thanks on behalf of the staff.

I assume everyone who is familiar with the topic gets why.Google "Lucy hoax".
You'll see the feet (and therefore the posture) are fantasy.
Bye!

My challenge to you was to name one hoax from the last fifty years which was accepted by scientists, and later shown to be false.

The fact that YOU think scientists' interpretation of LEGITIMATE fossils is wrong, does not make it a hoax.

Do you even know what hoax means?

Besides which, I don't even know why you object to Lucy's bipedality. All that shows is your ignorance about paleontology and anatomy. I'll help you out a bit: a better position for you would be to claim that god simply created an ape who walked on two feet.

Thank you for all of your replies, I am trying to go through them all.

A previous poster said there was something about our DNA, that evolution has trouble explaining, could someone please tell me what that something is possibly?

God Bless!

I'm not that poster, but I claim DNA may have been straight prior to the Fall.

Today it's a twisted helix.

Thus our world is in the twisted shape it's in now.

(Just a pet theory of mine. :))

That something would be the existence of DNA and the system in which it operates.

I'm looking for solid evidence against the theory of evolution, logical science backed explanations about the appearance of humankind that puts major holes in the theory of evolution, OTHER THAN the Bible says so...

Anyone have any?

God Bless!

Has been addressed in this topic, to answer your problem.
I like your avatar.

It reminds me of the Aricebo message, which not only depicts a DNA molecule, but shows the earth as the third planet from the sun in a solar system consisting of nine planets.

No wonder they can't find us! ;)

Yes, but not in one short, simple, layman's terms sentence of specifically how our DNA doesn't jive with the theory of evolution, or one short simple answer of the greatest evidence against evolution...

I'm a simple man, and I need short, simple answers...

Could you just tell us again, in one short paragraph, or sentence?

So it has to be short and simple, yet it has to explain a complicated topic...
I'm a simple man, and I need short, simple answers...
I will repeat myself then:
God can, dead unconscious things can't explain the universe and living nature.

Missing links.
Species defining characteristics in general and the origin for the code (DNA) for them.
Science can not explain it within a naturalistic paradigm.

I think this topic has come full circle..
