However, when such an illustrious historical fellow such as Marco Polo himself vehemently testifies that a Rhino is indeed a genuine unicorn, then a naive virgin in the full-fine bloom of burgeoning womanhood might very well be misled and venture confidently forth in that dubious way. Actually, there is a video on youtube of a woman who visited a zoo and was introduced to some allegedly tamed Rhinos.
They simply ignored her but she kept insisting on actually getting close enough to touch and the rhino gave forty this snort that spooked her. As she turned to flee she presented the full panorama of her exceedingly broad derriere add the Rhino took it as an invitation to gore,.

The very few surviving rhinos in Africa are now under armed guard. These guards are now so familiar with the rhinos that they can hand feed them and even rest by leaning up against them.

Like Rabbi Maimonides I am convinced that most of Genesis is "folklore and borrowed mythology". I value it for the insight and the spiritual lessons that we can glean from it.

Really! Then I guess the curious female I mentioned was simply unlucky. To be honest, I don't feel comfortable around animals armed with horns. My parents forced me to cross a field full of cattle at night and every time one of the bovines moved its horned head in my direction I was sure it was going to gore me.

It is really a shame that Rhinos need special protection from the very creatures that God assigned to be their caretakers.

I would assume men and women both would stir clear of these animals; except maybe to harness one for farm work ... which really didn't work out.

The mule could do a half-acre in n-time.

An ox in N+1 time.

But a unicorn could do the toughest field in N+2 time ... if they cooperated.

They were wild animals.
