I'm sort of surprised this didn't happen sooner. Schools have been teaching our young to be stupid for decades. I guess it's finally paying off for the Left.
It's paying off for the elite in both parties.
Left and right are false distractions in class struggle.

Capitalism has triumphed over democracy and constitutional republicanism.
Capitalism is a failure. Unless you are one of the 1%.

Ok. So what would be one of the major concepts of socialism that you oppose the most?
The thing that it set up where everyone has the same thing by government hands.

I think it works like this; 99% of people are not taught and do not realize, that government is a necessary evil in that it embodies a monopoly on violence.
Capitalism, they mistakenly believe gives everyone a chance at success but capitalism itself does not confront predatory crony capitalism. It is just a tool that can be used for good or bad because it doesn't have a bill of rights attached.
So socialism is labled the boogy man that steals the phantom of chance from the ill informed.

How can that be so? The Left want to eliminate class.

Okay, look, I realize the rising tides hasn't exactly lifted all the boats, but the idea that Capitalism has "failed" when the system on the whole is ostensibly workable and did much to make our modern society possible is nonsense.

It also created situations like that which you read about in "The Jungle". The "anything for a profit" attitude strongly disadvantages anyone who is desperate.

There is a difference between communism and the Democratic socialism proposed by people like Sanders.
Maybe so maybe no but it can turn into more as people start wanting something for nothing. As someone who used to be SSI I am also no fool there is NO such thing as a free lunch.

Nice slogans. You can look up the differences between communism, socialism, and the Nordic systems. You'll see there is no "maybe no" if you do.

I've never met anyone who didn't want to improve their situation. I have yet to see it proven that any substantial fraction of those receiving some sort of aid are content and slothful.

It is still true no matter the percentage of people who abuse the system that there is no such thing as a free lunch.

If you mean the lunch it's funded ultimately by taxpayers, sure. So are roads and wars and space ships. Lots of things are. I think lunches for children are more important than some of these other things.

And I mean that taxes are a normal healthy part of society. If by "not free" you mean paid for by the tax pool, I'm missing how that's wrong.
That is what I mean taxes should be VERY limited in what they cover.

If you're living in a home, driving a car, using a computer or cell phone, working a job, wearing clothes and buying food then I'd say capitalism has worked extremely well.

Buy hey, don't let the facts get in your way. ;)

Or we can thank laws providing fair wages, working conditions, and things like that... you know, the things we've had to put in place to keep unfettered capitalism in check.
