There was no god involved in framing those 'laws'.[/QUOTE

"The fool said in his heart 'There is no God.'" How do you explain the fact that Daniel the prophet predicted the future in his book. Can you accurately predict the future centuries in advance? Do you know someone who can?

Those supposed 'laws' were dreamt up by humans and then attributed to fictitious gods to give them some justification.

If your son or daughter were dying of cancer, would you discourage him/her from praying to God?

I see many here who would wish to deny a woman the right to terminate a pregnancy, by declaring that it would be an act of murder.

And yet I also see those same people running away from this question:

How would such a law be enforced?

Since the pregnant woman did not create the life that is within her, she has no "right" to end it (that is a false presupposition. Only God has the right to end life, since He is the Creator.

Abortion is murder. It should be illegal. The woman makes a moral choice when she gets an abortion. The person (they are not a Doctor, for a Doctor preserves life, not destroys it) who performs the abortion should likewise be charged with murder. Any staff that helped that woman to murder her child should be charged as an accessory to murder. Any boyfriend or husband that encouraged or coerced the woman to have the abortion is likewise an accessory. The friend who drove her to the abortuary likewise is an accomplice to murder.

They should be charged the same as anyone else who murders another person. For some it would be life in prison, for others, the death penalty.

For example, if it is reported to the authorities that a woman who was known to be pregnant is no longer so, how should they proceed?

Investigate the cause of the loss of pregnancy and if it is shown to have been an abortion, then it should be charged as murder.

If you make it a murder offence to terminate a pregnancy, how are you going to identify the 'guilty'?

How do you identify all those guilty of sexually abusing children? Should we legalize the sexual abuse of children because we cannot identity all crimes against children?

Yes, in fact the number of "back-alley" procedures will rise enormously if such a cruel and ridiculous law were to be introduced. I can well remember in my country prior to the 1970's the frequent horrific tales of unfortunate women faced with no other alternative than to risk their life and health over an abortion performed by a rank amateur. These fools would see us return to those times, presumably.

Moreover, where do they see the plight of the unlucky woman who suffers a miscarriage unfolding? Would she have to suffer doubly by facing the ignominy of a police investigation, to ensure that she hadn't 'murdered' her foetus?

You will note, of course, that there is a disproportionate number of men urging such a change.

So, using a similar logic, using heroin should not be illegal, because people re-using needles could cause people to contract HIV, so it should be made legal for the safety of the heroin user.

You don't make something that is evil legal because of people making sinful and evil choices.

Secondly, there are more than 1,000 children being murdered everyday in the US in abortuaries, apparently that is not a concern as long as we keep the mother who is murdering her child safe. That is irrational.

Way to miss the point. A huge number of pregnancies spontaneously abort, called miscarriages. Do they all get a murder investigation?

A miscarriage is not an abortion. An abortion is a willful choice to murder a child. Miscarriage is not.

We are discussing abortions and miscarriages. They do not involve children. Learn some basic biology please.

For those who believe in God there are only two kinds of children: born and unborn. If you reject this premise, then perhaps you should limit yourself to visiting atheistic web sites.

There will still be abortion. You will not remove it entirely by criminalising it.

Correct! The same applies to any other crime: theft, sexual abuse of children, rape, drug dealing, and so on. Are you suggesting that we legalize all immoral activity? Would the world be a better place if we were to make all immoral acts legal?:

Are we going to start mandating random urine pregnancy tests just to spot check society?

Yes, and are we going to perform random tests to discover if a child has been sexually molested or sexually abused? Why do you ask impractical questions?

And all those women who will have to undergo police interviews to satisfy that their miscarriage was 'genuine'?

Do you expect me to take your question seriously? Are having a problem asking reasonable questions?

If one were pro-life they would be against things like capital punishment,

Do you think that there is a moral difference between killing a serial killer and the killing of an innocent human being?

Firstly we have to stop calling a baby an "it". Calling a child that word demoralizes all life and makes abortion more palitable for murder to take place.
There really is no way to make a law to allow for murder. Cause then you run into the problem of when does life start? Depending on who's definition of life? Society has taken the stance of Darwanism in this respect; life starts when we say it does.
The truth is that life starts at conception. When you discover a woman to be pregnant; then life is growing in her womb.
As far as a woman's choice. Why do women have the right to deside to murder their children. In the womb your children are helpless and rely solely on the mother to nurture them and bring them into this world safely.
A woman that opts out for abortion is no mother; and that privilege will be taken away from her. Abortion is murder plain and simple; no point in over analyzing it to fit into your own selfish desires.
If there is a chance that she will die and the baby will die if she doesn't have an abortion, then that's a different subject all together. Most mothers I have met would literally die to protect their child, no matter if the child is in the womb or outside the womb.

Yeeeeees... we get that, the point is how do you tell the difference? Does EVERY single case of a pregnancy ending get investigated, or what?

Until it's a person, it's an "it". Calling it a child is an attempt at emotional manipulation.
