  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Why do people believe in a Rapture?

The 2 witnesses will not arrive in the scene until after the abomination of desolation is place.
WHOA - BACK! Why not just leave them exactly where John put them, and don't try to rearrange?

John shows them arriving and beginning their testimony just before the 7th trumpet that marks the exact midpoint and time of the abomination. Let's just leave them there. They will testify until just before the end of the week, be killed and lay dead until the 7th vial ends the week. Then they will rise with ALL the Old Testament saints.

I don't think you'll understand Zechariah 4 there's a reason it's been veiled for 2500 years.
By all means, if you have received revelation knowledge, share it! Why else would God give it? TELL US about Zec. 4

How old were you when you realized the Bible teaches Post-Tribulation Rapture? I was 16 or 17, and we're close to the same age. When I was younger I kept quiet, but now I'm starting to talk to the people around me. I told my pastor that I was convinced this was really important and I felt like I'd be fearing man more than God and hating the Church if I agreed to keep silent. I'm wondering if God is raising up a few of us from Generation X or younger because we are probably are going to experience the Tribulation--maybe most of the teachers of today will die off first.
I fully expect you to experience the tribulation, but not for the reason you give.

I guarantee we'll face the tribulation. I guess I was early 30's. Like I said the next major event will be a huge war. I know because the Lord has spoken this. I don't know exactly when though, but soon.
We may see it or hear about it from the grandstands of heaven. That is as close as the Bride will ever get.

I agree with you on the war. A Jewish boy just went to heaven and came back. He also saw this war.

I have information that you don't have. Most people are confused by the book of Revelation. The witnesses are alive today.
Really?
Quite sure about the source of your info, are you? There are two possibilities: from God or Satan.
I do not claim any special information, but I am not confused by Revelation. All the Bible prophesies make a coherent and logical picture to anyone that puts aside false teachings. There is no need for special information from men or any other source.
The 2 witnesses could well be alive now and yes, they preach during the last 3.5 years before the Return.

Since death is only separation, OF COURSE they are alive: but they are most likely in heaven right now waiting for God to send them down. They will not appear on earth until just before the midpoint of the week.
Wrong

I agree God or satan. Fortunately, scripture backs it.

Alive. On the earth right now. Regular humans. Just normal people.

okay. Let me ask you this knowing you have a good understanding of the Word. Do you think Zechariah 4:2-3 has anything to do with the second temple era.

Just wait and see. My guess is, Elijah and Enoch.

Since I believe we are VERY close, they probably have their instructions by now.

So show us by scripture. They show up in 11:3 and the 7th trumpet is 11:15. There is about 3 1/2 days between when they show up and the 7th trumpet.

They show up right then, because the man of sin just showed up with his Gentile armies IN JERUSALEM. AFter all, if he is to enter the new temple, he must first arrive in Jerusalem. Verses 11:1-2 show us his arrival.

The 7th trumpet marks for those in heaven the very moment the man of sin says "I am god." Therefore John shows them arriving and beginning their testimony 3 1/2 days before the abomination.

Then do you believe it was fulfilled in 167 BC?

It is not about "what I believe".

The desecration of the temple by Antiochus Epiphanes is a part of the historical record.
It is the fact behind the celebration of Hanukkah.

It occurred just as Daniel had predicted.

Carry on. Yes, they are ordinary as in born of a woman. But these two were born eons ago.
im going to show you something that's been veiled for 2500 years. Do you think Zechariah 4:2-3 has anything to do with the second temple era?

I just wanted to make sure. But what to you do with Matthew 24:15 I'm sure you've been asked that before.

Question: "What was Zerubbabel’s temple/the second temple?"

Answer:
In 538 BC, Zerubbabel, the leader of the tribe of Judah, was part of the first wave of Jewish captives to return to Jerusalem (Ezra 1:1–2). The Persian king appointed Zerubbabel as governor of Judah (Haggai 1:1), and right away Zerubbabel began rebuilding the temple with the help of Joshua, the high priest (Ezra 3:2–3, 8). The first temple, built by King Solomon, had been destroyed by the Babylonians in 587 BC (2 Kings 25:8–10).

Yes, He certainly had much to do with building the temple.
