CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

OMM: Watching Dr. Phil about a girl (from NC lol) who made herself go blind because it's been her life long dream to become blind. She said that she didn't feel like herself unless she couldn't see.
This is really scary to me that people would go to such lengths to be something else, such bad body image issues that they would actually risk their life to take away something that can never be replaced.

I have an interview scheduled with Toxicology Labs in The Woodlands (a little north of Houston) tomorrow morning. Please pray for me that, if it is within the Lord's will, everything will go well at that time.
It would appear that I will be going back to more of a basic, "technician" position in the lab this time if I am hired on, so that in some ways it will not be as stressful or complicated as my last job as an "analyst" in the lab. And going back to the basics may be what I need for right now.
