CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

How believing something for which there is no evidence becomes a good thing for the religious tells people exactly where the religious are coming from, for them feelings count for everything, if it makes them feel good then it must be true.

God is an invisible Spirit, the Spirit of Love. Before He brought the physical world into being, there was NO evil. In the end of His 6 Days of Creation, the 3rd Heaven will be brought to perfection and filled with perfect Humans who will live forever.
Now, it's YOUR time to tell us of a God as good as Jesus, Who IS the only physical Image of the invisible Spirit of Love, we call God. I don't think you can. Your prejudice against Him will be demonstrated for everyone to see. Amen?

Uh, that's actually the complete opposite of what Christianity teaches you.
Going into Christianity expecting "feelings" or "experiences" is the wrong way to do it, and opens you up to demons. Christianity is about learning of our Spirit, the third part of mankind that most don't even realize or recognize the existence thereof, because it can't be detected or measured by current methods known to man.
Those who have no religious faith are adamant that it doesn't exist, and those who do have religious faith knows it exists but they either are Christians, or they've been fooled into one of the many, many false religions. Even of the Christians, there are people who think they are Christians but are really not ("You will know them by their fruits" the Bible tells us; you can tell a good Christian from someone who merely thinks they are fairly easily).
Emotions, however, can easily be turned against you. Christianity is not about your emotions or supernatural experiences whatsoever. It's about living in the Spirit and living for Him. If someone thinks they are a Christian, or wants to be a Christian, and they're looking for supernatural experiences, or surges of deep emotions... then they best be careful, step back and actually read the Bible and do some good quality praying because it sounds like they have it wrong and they could be dealing with demons as the Bible warns about demons that disguise themselves as "angels of light".

The above is a description of the evolutionist preachers here. I have shown them that Genesis agrees in every way with every discovery of mankind and NONE of them can refute this AGREEMENT of Scripture, Science and History. All they can see to do is falsely accuse others of being blind like they are. God Bless the misguided evolutionists for they have been blinded by satan.

It'd help if the Atheists would keep their noses out of such conversations. Sometime we ought to have an Evolutionism vs Creationism discussion in a Christians-Only area. No offense to atheists, but refusing to believe in the Bible written by the very God that Christians claim to worship is a serious problem in the Body of Christ.
Not just Creation, but also Revelation as well. Too many people don't actually believe the Bible and they want to twist its meaning around away from what is actually written there, despite the tons of evidence that says they are entirely wrong in allegorizing everything to the ridiculous levels that they do.

Amen. I cannot agree that to rid ourselves of Atheists would solve all our problems. I enjoy watching them squeal and refuse to defend their Evolutionism Religion's doctrines, but I especially like it when they call us names and run away because God's Holy Word has totally destroyed their false ideas. To do away with the unbelievers would take away all the fun. Amen?

Eh, I don't know about you, but I don't find any "fun" in dealing with people who are blind and are stumbling towards the ditch unknowingly. I think it is rather sad and depressing that they refuse to open their eyes and look around them. But, it is as our Lord said in the days of the Pharisees in John 9:41, "If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say We see; therefore your sin remains".
It's a rather sad state of affairs; I have nothing against atheists, I just wish that they wouldn't so vehemently deny God and His Son, and at least think about the possibility that we're right. But no, every single atheist I've ever met has vehemently refused to even consider it. They will dance around it with everything they can, doing some of the most ridiculous feats of mental gymnastics to avoid any notion that the Bible has any truth in it, and for what?
Just to say they're right? To say we're wrong? I could never understand why atheists fight so hard to try and prove Christians wrong, except other than the Lord Himself told us why, and that's because the world (and the people who are under its rule) hated Him before it hated us.
I do my best to try to spread His love, but it falls upon blind eyes and deaf ears most of the time, but yet that's what He commanded us to do. The very least I will be able to say at the end, is "I tried, Lord... I tried. They wouldn't listen..."

OK you don't believe in God. I believe in God because of ways He has personally dealt with me. That's just all there is to say about that, I suppose.

I dismiss yours as you dismiss people who have alien encounters, telling how you feel about something is meaningless, if it wasn't it would mean that every religion in the world would be true because of how the Gods had personally dealt with their believers, but I agree that's all there is to say about that because there is no evidence just feelings.

Amen. My point is that it is really enjoyable to watch atheists agnostics and other know it alls, be refuted Scripturally. One of my favorite preachers used to say, IF you can't say Amen, say Ouch. It's the only thing some poor unbelievers understand. My hope is that they will seek an answer to their misconceptions. God Bless you

Unfortunately religious belief on faith does not come alone, it effects everything a person does and everything they say, some more than others.

Calling them "radicals" is a sore spot with me.
A "radical Muslim," to me, is a Muslim man walking behind a Muslim woman.
Planting flowers, helping little old ladies across the street, and singing, "Give Peace A Chance."
It's not the radical Muslims we have to worry about.
It's the fundamental Muslims we have to worry about.
