  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What is the defense for planned parenthood harvesting babay brains?

You're not understanding the point I am making. Abortions will happen whether they are legal or not. In fact in 1965 (I may be off a year or two here) before Roe V Wade there were 867,000 illegal abortions. My solution is proper education and easily accessible birth control to reduce unwanted pregnancies and abortions.

Should they?

That's it. What's the best way to respond to a call for less appeals to emotion? An appeal to emotion.

Since many fertilized eggs do not result in pregnancies, how can you call such things babies?

And in my last post I was more asking you how the so-called harvesting of fetal material for monetary gain was big business for Planned Parenthood if it's a minority of the percentage of the services they provide. You'd think they'd do nothing but abortions if it was so lucrative an industry.
Re: your first sentence: Is a fertilized egg living?

Do you think life starts at fertilization? Do you consider sperm not to be "alive"?

2nd sentence: you believe that?

Do I believe that Planned Parenthood isn't in the business to make money off of abortions? Of course.

I suppose sperm IS alive. Is sperm a baby?

Why do you believe that about Planned Parenthood?

Would you like to offer a solution? You are asking another question in response to a question.
I'm interested in your solutions and why you think your solution would be effective.

Solution for "what" problem, specifically?

You are clearly against abortion. You appeal to emotion with words like "Destroy" and "murder". I told you that abortions are going to happen regardless if they are legal or not. With that in mind, how can we reduce the number of abortions? My suggestion was better sex education and access to affordable birth control.

You have to realize that if for some reason Roe V Wade was overturned, it won't stop abortions from happening. You may close your eyes and pretend you've fixed the problem. What are your solutions?

You, unless you're just posting digitised ultrasounds for fun?

I'm reminding everyone where murdered babies body parts come from.

They come from babies.

If a fertilized egg is a baby, wouldn't sperm be a baby too?

Why do you believe that about Planned Parenthood?

Considering that not all of their clinics offer abortion, obviously that's not their sole cause for existing.

What is it you would hope to learn?
What I did not know. Knowledge is it's own rewards and people are treasures. All of them. Why do you think they are so hesitant on these sites to show themselves? We are all unique and we all have value that the outside world doesn't understand. If it did then we would be out living in it instead of locking ourselves in a room and expressing who we are from the comforts of our computer.

In a way, we are all orphans in the world outside. We've found a place to call hime and I bet there are more than one who is addicted to the place.

Abortion isn't a cheerful subject....no. But I don't have a right to tell a woman what she does with her body.

Still waiting for a solution, but since you like to appeal to emotion, I will play that game too.

A couple is pregnant. They find out that the fetus has Anencephaly (Underdeveloped skull). This pregnancy can be brought to term if the couples wishes. The consequences are that this child will only live for 3 days to a week. During this brief life the baby will experience unthinkable pain and suffering 24 hours a day. Should the parents of this couple let this child endure this pain or terminate?
