  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

From what I understand they have admitted to selling baby parts for profit.

That is my understanding as well. However, they were in fact, denying it before those "sting" videos brought it to the public's attention, were they not?

The question is, what is the defense for anyone in the government, the President of this nation, and on down, for "funding" this business?

Fatten them up for English tables?

Just a modest alternative proposal.

This kind of Nazi humor is how I suppose the guards kept sane at the camps.

I know a guy whose job it was to dispose of medical waste. He said at work they had sword fights with amputated limbs. When I was aghast at what he said he apologized and said he had to have a macabre sense of humor for that job to stay sane.

If they're not really people I guess its okay.

No, it's not OK.
I would say when someone arrives at that point of emotional shutdown on the job they should seek other employment.

That seems to be a prevalent rationalizing of it amongst many. Otherwise how could they not be haunted by those babies faces and body parts in their dreams....

or nightmares...

perhaps many have taken to drinking, etc. to drown out such memories....

talk about being haunted...

wonder if that happens...

i'm surprised there's been no horror movies based on the babies coming back in hauntings......yet.

It would probably be a box office hit, especially with Halloween right around the corner...

You've made me really grateful to the teacher who had us read A Modest Proposal. Thanks.

Yes. And one can only feel pity for that and their condition. And especially their family, the children in particular. Because tI don't believe that kind of numbness and indifference turns off when work is over.
