There is a chance I may end up moving out there for work, although probably not this year.

Which would mean making the same (or more) money to live somewhere cheaper. I'm amazed at the quality of apartments you can find in Phoenix for the price.

And, of course, taxes and stuff like that is much lower than California (the most taxed state in the country... and we're still broke).

Exactly. Last October, we had two/three straight weeks of 50s in the morning and 70s in the afternoon. It drove me crazy. At least in summer, we still have at least a 15/20 range of high temps.

Why? Thats why man created calenders. So you knew when it would normally be spring, winter, fall, summer..... and not rely on the leaves to change.

When the difference between California and Washington weather REALLY hit me was when I went back to Washington for the first time after being in California for 8 months.

It rained for like 30 days straight.

I missed California... and came back a few months later. Been here 13 years now.
