Is Fat Counted as Meat ?

Dear all,

Can anybody tell me whether fat is counted as meat ?

On Good Fridays and Ash Wednesdays, can we eat food
which contains animal fat ?

If the fat is in solid form I'd avoid it but if it is a broth or if used as cooking grease or oil I think you're okay.

But then I'm Eastern and I still fast as strictly as I can [ and am permitted by Fr Confessor ]
