What Would Evidence for God's Existence Be Like?

We do share them in out lives, in our faith community. But we see the futility in casting our pearls before swine as Jesus had so wisely affirmed.

Whatever you may assume to be "your pearls" and wherever you think you are casting them, acting like a complete jerk when you loudly proclaim to be following "truth" and "beauty" and "goodness" isn't helping your position.

"There was war in heaven"... you and I are on opposing sides... it's [...] a mater [sic] of life and death.

When you go around and declare others to be your mortal enemies, you don't make them kindly regard you. Even so, there was something that Jesus has so wisely affirmed about "enemies"... something about loving them or so.

But I guess that falls under the "flaws" that you see in the Bible and in religion.


You set yourself up as my enemy. What you do with this stance is your own thing.

I am not required to love you... whatever you think you are. I can simply... ignore you.

You seem like a kind person to me Mark, intelligent and all that, it's the issue of promoting your anti-Christian beliefs or doctrine. "There was war in heaven", it's an ideological war that spilled over onto earth in Lucifer's rebellion, you and I are on opposing sides. It may seem harmless to you and uber progressive, but it's really a mater of life and death. You are much more than "neutral" so spare me the shame bait~

These mythical narratives about atheism are transparently about trying to scare believers into not questioning the dogmas of the community and to frighten them like sheep into staying in the fold, and this is ugly because it causes needless acrimonious divisions between people. It also runs the risk of dehumanizing the "other side" with the over-the-top talk about Lucifer and such. That sort of tribalistic thinking leads to atrocities.

I realize that you don't see it this way, and that it's all a "matter of life and death" to you. It is to me as well.
