Now before you look it up on the web answer this simple question.

Who is the pastor of the second largest church in America. We know Joel Osteen is and he is spoken of often. But who is the pastor of the second largest church?

The church is 30,000 plus mega church, he rides in limos, flys a corporate jet, makes millions and millions on his books and sermons.

Yet you never hear anyone complaining about his lifestyle?

Why is that?

It's Andy Stanley by the way.
And his net worth is 40,000,000 dollars. About 10million less than Joel Osteen

A prejudiced discussion to see who is the most (or least) prejudiced based on your introductory example :o ??? May be hard to upstage your prejudiced example. ;)

Mother taught me that 2 wrongs don't make a right, besides, those who are in certain groups promote materialism, the money doctrine, etc, way more than thers, so the leaders and proponents, will be the ones to come under fire. Pesides, Paul fought the circumcision crowd the most, did he have prejudice?

Just because my limited understanding finds it difficult to accept such a rich and privileged person can be a believer (Pastor or no), that doesn't mean they aren't. (Sorry about the double negative there, my grammar is off)

My hang up on such people is they are LEADERS. They stand in front of people scrapping pennies to make a living and preach that if they don't give give give then they will be on Gods naughty list when as soon as they are done they surround themselves with a security team, are whisked off to their limo and corporate jet to make another fortune speaking at events. I profusely reject the idea that Jesus or any of the Apostles would approve of such extravagance. If they make boku bucks, then they have more to give. Let me use Francis Chan as an example. I don't know how much the man makes, but he seems truly genuine. The principle he lives off is the reverse tithe. He gives 90%, and I'm not sure what he does with the other 10% but its none of my business. Just as its none of my business what any of them do with their money, but flaunting around your wealth as a few do is highly anti-christian.

Sure, they can be saved. God is their judge and he sees their heart. They can fool me, thats not hard, but they cant fool the One who really counts.

Its really the fault of the flock though. Honestly. We treat those men and women in such high regard. Like they are celebrities. We give them money for anything under the sun thinking that will bring a blessing or favor. We don't hold them accountable for their words or actions. So why wouldn't they take it and run with it?

God told me that is all about to change and I pray people have faith to stand when it does. I pray they do.

It's okay for reformation preachers to have all the money they can haul away, but money is just one more thing to slander Bible believing Christians over. So yes there is a double standard. When senator grassley abused his position in government to conduct a financial witch hunt he showed his true reformation colors and went after the Biblical Christians, and not a single reformed theologian.

My issue is that people around the world do not have clean water or healthcare, food and the ability to sustain themselves and their families. Aids is rampant in Africa and the child mortality rate is high.

How can we/they say that they are following Christ when Christ Himself said the two most important commandments are love your God and love your neighbor as yourself.

Not having money problems and the ability to live comfortably is one thing, but how many cars, houses, planes, clothes can someone have?

Why should one person have access and one person loose their children to disease? Excess. I don't believe that Jesus wants it this way. He loves ALL His children equally.
