  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If it is, Ultron is lookn awesome!

I have been watching alot of The Avengers lately, it continues to grow on me, since watching The Winter Soldier in the theatres. Joss Whedon is a talented director.

The Cap franchise is my favorite amongst the individual Avenger hero titles. Iron Man is okay, but they blew Mandarin in that last film. At least in the last film Stark didn't fight yet another armored menace too similar to himself.

Both Thor movies were terrible and the Hulk was okay. But Mark Ruffalo is Bruce Banner!!!!!

Ooohoo wow, I really hope that's real XD
Tony's armor actually looks similar to his armor in the current run of his comics (which are pretty awful, in my opinion. But I do like the suit) that would be cool if he had it in the movie.

I can't WAIT for Age of Ultron. I really hope it lives up to the hype ^_^

I agree with you on the Thor movies being the worst. I did like the first one but the second one was meh.
The Iron Man movies will always be my favorites. Iron Man 2 wasn't very good but I still have fun watching it. I actually really, really liked Iron Man 3 hahaha. I thought it was refreshing. But the first one is the best, hands down.
Captain America has been doing very well. The First Avenger was good and the Winter Soldier was spectacular.
The Incredible Hulk wasn't too bad but Mark Ruffalo is great as Dr. Banner

Alas - that photo is a fan edit. Here is a link to the page:
Ed's Pool • Fan Made Iron Man and Ultron face to face by...
Here is the only set photo I have seen revealing an Ultron look. My understanding is that he upgrades and will have different looks throughout the film, so this may be just one version of what we will see:

Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) is wittily presented (a wit sadly lacking from all the Spider-Man films thus far, what happened to Peter Parker????? lack of faithfulness!). Stark can be showstealer indeed. But with all the villains to choose from in his own title, we get the same plot, actually if elements from 1 & 2 were incorporated into a single film or over two films with a single running storyline, we might have really had something special. Nonetheless, he has the best lines in The Avengers!

Here is how I rank the films:

1. The Avengers
2. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
3. Iron Man
4. Captain America: The First Avenger
5. Iron Man 2
6. The Hulk
7. Thor
8. Iron Man 3
9. Thor: The Dark World

And with that, I may change my mind and put the first Cap film into the number three slot? Not sure.

Thor really fell flat in both outings to me.

First Thor was great. Second Thor, not so much.

I'm still waiting for the Man Called Nova movie.

But at least MST3K is coming back to TV (in reruns) so I can't complain too much.

Robert Downey Jr is signed on to two more Avengers projects (2015/2018?), but the Iron Man franchise is in the air.

With Iron Man 4 in the air, the one rumour is that Arno Stark, son of Tony, taking up the mantle of the Iron Man.

AGE Of ULTRON! MINOR SPOILER! MINOR SPOILER! MINOR SPOILER! AGE OF ULTRON!

Paul Bettany who does the voice over work for Jarvis, will be making an appearance as the Vision. As you know Henry Pym created Ultron and Ultron creates the "syntheziod" Vision. ;)

Not to sound super picky/pretentious but Arno's Tony's sort-of-brother, not his son hahahaha

If that happened I would probably just sell all of my Marvel related stuff.
I'm having a hard time accepting the whole Arno thing in the comics and I do NOT want that to creep its way into the movies.

The great news is that Robert Downey Jr is sticking around for the next two Avengers films.

I am not a the biggest fan of the Iron Man franchise though, a super hero that has many interesting and colorful villains only to have first two films to just be an Armor Wars of sorts.

And look at the Part 3 did to the Mandarin. Why couldn't we fans be served the real Mandarin and the real Aldrich Killian? WOW!

But yes, I agree, how about instead putting in Arno Stark, just replace Robert Downey Jr with another actor for Tony Stark. Um, I don't know... what about Nathan Fillion with a goat-tee or something????

Thanks for the correction on Arno!

You know, at first I was kind of iffy about how Ultron looks but the more I think about it, the more I like it.

Possible spoilers ahead:

If they're going the route I think they are and having Ultron start out 100% machine only to slowly morph into a more human-esque form, then heck yeah I think he looks awesome. And I think that would be a great visual representation of the character. If I'm not mistaken, one of Ultron's main "things" is that every time he's defeated, he upgrades or transfers his consciousness into another piece of hardware. So taking those things into consideration, I like how Ultron looks. Plus, his voice is pretty perfect if you ask me :)
