They produce a babby. We assign a race to the babby.

That was the point of the Racial Integrity Act--to assign races.

(obligatory "How is babby formed?")

LOL. We assign what they are? Races came about with the "racial integrity act?" Sorry...God created mankind and said it was very good long before the integrity act.

As for "babby" being formed...how old are you?

Your argument that it is biblical for people to be of a different race isn't the problem. it is what you further state that they cannot ever be together is the problem. You are cherry picking scripture and taking it out of context to fit your modern concept.

I didn't say races can't be together. I provided Scriptures and they are not out of context. Others have provided their feelings, their thoughts. I am asking what God tells us on the topic of mixed marriages.

The OT occasionally references somatic differences or place of origin, such as in Number 12. But it does not recognize "race" in the way we have for the past several centuries. That's because our ancestors in the 17th Century or so embarked on a project to create a concept of "race".

Well, I have quoted several Scriptures telling us the opposite. God placed boundaries...if there were no differences the boundaries would not have been placed. God specified that Israel was not to take "strange wives" or marry out of the tribes. If there were no differences that wouldn't be written.

We're dealing with different levels of ontology here. In our society, a Black body is specifically marked as such and that cannot ever change, while being a Mississippian is a status subject to change and re-evaluation.

Which is why I suggest to you to re-evaluate the "black Ethiopian" in regards to the wife of Moses. Also consider that I would always be American no matter where I traveled...as I would continue to be the same race no matter where I traveled. Same with the "Ethiopian."

I hope all Christians realize that one day when our bodies are resurrected that most likely we'll be the same skin color as we are today on this Earth. You might as well lose your prejudices, because you will be with those of every different skin color and race in Heaven one day, maybe not too far off.

And there won't be any interracial marriages in Heaven

Because in Heaven, race will be a complete non-issue.

I wonder if mom was shocked? :p Hanky-panky and a rather dense dad or an albino.

No. Since skin pigmentation is genetic, if both parents had some white ancestors, which most african americans do, then the child could have been born white. I went to school with a girl who had brown skin, but light, straight hair, a thin nose, and blue eyes (this was before colored contact lenses). Both her parents were black. They found out later that all but one of her great-grandparents had white fathers.

Thank you. Good point. The result is there would be a reason for something like that happening. Take the reasons away and it does not happen.

Not to say it's such a terrible thing to happen -- a surprise, to be sure, but not at all terrible.

As long as the child is healthy, happy, and theirs, what parent would object?

Yes, but it is much, much too late for that. The Romans were made up of various "races". Those same Romans conquered most of Europe. So, a nordic looking blonde haired, blue eyed person living in the UK could have African DNA. Same for Americans. Did you know that the actress Carol Channing is mixed race?

If the child is "theirs," or many times even if not, then yes, they would be happy. That has nothing to do with whether or not mixed marriages, in the eyes of God, are to take place.

Again, should someone enter into a mixed marriage in the eyes of God?

IMO. God sent His Son here for the Jewish people. He said that in no uncertain terms. (Matthew 15:24-26). Anyone who isnt Jewish is a Gentile. European, African, Asian, it doesnt matter. We are all Gentiles to God.

If we're defining "race" as things as insignificant as skin tone or geographic origin, what god worthy of worship would be so petty?

Oh, and before anyone thinks Im a liberal. Im a devout, far right conservative, who's father was a member of the KKK. Im also not 100% "white". My DNA shows that Im 1/4 Native American, and since 75% of my ancestors come from the mountains of East Tennessee/Western NC, chances are that that DNA is Cherokee. Still checking out the Dawes Rolls.

Actually, His Son was sent to "the house of Israel." All of Israel consists of twelve tribes...now split into two factions; the house of Israel (10 lost tribes) and the house of Judah (Jews). All tribes are of Israel but not all Israel are Jews.
Matthew 15:24 But He answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
The ten lost tribes were scattered by God for His great purpose. Where are they...who are they today? He was sent to and found His sheep...they hear His voice and carry His name Christ/Christ-ian. Those literally of the blood of Israel and all those that are adopted (no matter the blood-line).

The word Gentiles = ethnos/ethnic nations.

Rather than making such a remark...why not ask yourself why He created all the various races in the first place. He is The Creator...He said, "it is very good."
