I might be biased on this subject because 7 out of the 8 relationships I've been in were all with a non white person.

I don't see the question as "is it good for America" but rather...is it good in the eyes of God. I say no, it is not.

Now, granted, in your little quotes, there's no explanation of why mixed relationships are actually bad. We just have to take your word for it that God arbitrarily decided he didn't like it...and chances are that's probably your own voice that you hearing. Not His.

And yet we all come from a common ancestor. I think God is not worried about "mixed seeds". I think that is human beings who are trying to force God into their own image.

I'm surprised it's so low. I have a mixed race marriage, but I've never gotten any grief over it (except one of my grandmothers didn't approve of his being sort of Muslim - but she didn't approve of my mother being Catholic either).

I expected it to be higher, but experience-wise I am not surprised. I think the one thing you see often is what they mention in the article, "How did you two meet?" The other is general confusion in trying to give a couple separate checks, which hardly happens when the couple is the same race. I'm more annoyed by someone asking what race the girl I'm dating is, mostly because I recognize why the question is asked. Being black, they're trying to make a value judgment about me. If the girl is black, then he is this way, but if the girl is white that makes him this type of black person. Since I've dated every race, I guess they're befuddled by me.

You must be a youngster. The Silent Majority was coined in the late sixties by Nixon. I think the Silents is better than the Greatest which always seemed like pandering to me.

Well I'm a Millenial, although I put myself more at the Gen X/Millenial transition zone where you're not fully in either camp.

I would tend to agree. I think any marriage between two loving people is good for America. Why should skin color really matter whether it's good for America or not.

You do know....rabbits do chew their cud? You should know there was one Author of the Bible.

In modern English, animals that ‘chew the cud’ are called ruminants. They hardly chew their food when first eaten, but swallow it into a special stomach where the food is partially digested. Then it is regurgitated, chewed again, and swallowed into a different stomach. Animals which do this include cows, sheep and goats, and they all have four stomachs.1

Coneys and rabbits are not ruminants in this modern sense.

However, the Hebrew phrase for ‘chew the cud’ simply means ‘raising up what has been swallowed’. Coneys and rabbits go through such similar motions to ruminants that Linnaeus, the father of modern classification (and a creationist), at first classified them as ruminants.

At any rate, I have 4 beautiful nieces and one handsome nephew as a result of one interracial marriage.

One thing we've noted over the 20 years they've been married, though, is that most of the backlash they receive is from other black people, especially my SIL. Just recently someone asked her why a Brother wasn't good enough for her. :o

Races are social constructs. We invented race ourselves.

Race is not biological, it's social. Moreover, your interpretation of biology is incorrect. You are not a different species from a black person. Varieties of plants are different species. The animal kingdom is filled with different species. Race is more akin to dog breeds; dogs look different due to selective breeding. We look different due to environmental differences and isolation. When you put a group of random dog breeds in a room, they don't separate based on breed because they just see other dogs. We're all just human, skin color is not a species.

No, they do not chew their cud. They eat their own droppings. The bible has many authors as you can tell by the naming of the chapters. It was put together by committee at the council of Nicaea.
