How is it a trick? Once they go through with it, in my eyes they are that gender.
If they were that gender, they wouldn't need a sex change.
It's literally trying to transition one's gender to another because they don't feel they should be the gender they are.
Until science has proved, which it has not, your eyes just see what they want to see just as they just want to be whoever they want to be.

It makes them feel better. I guess as long as the transgendered people are happy, it works enough. Who knows, perhaps medicine will one day advance enough that people can more completely change their gender.
How can science "prove" people's feelings - ever?
I don't know how anyone can think that others embarks lightly on transitioning their sex.
A 'feeling' is something of the mind, it does not determine gender.
It can easily be said that they are simply psychologically disturbed.
To say that the only way for them to be happy is to have a sex change- or they might go do something drastic like commit suicide..
is just a flat out, prohibitively convenient, anti-intuitive lie.
Why is this the case?
Because sex change therapy has only been around for a few decades. One would have to commit to a notion that transgenders were defects who killed themselves since the beginning of human history, and that is ridiculous.
There is on such thing as genuine transgender people.
I've heard of some people really regretting making that decision after going through with the operation. In their minds, they'd always wanted to be of the opposite sex. I believe it's a mental condition. Possibly a hormonal imbalance as well.

So, on WHAT evidence do you base your belief that transsexualism is a mental condition or a hormone imbalance? ...Especially since doctors have agreed that the evidence is convincing that it is a medical condition.
By the fact that there is no evidence saying otherwise; that sober reasoning and virtues of conclusive study have actually managed to be put second to outlandish liberalism.
Doctors are not universally convinced. There is nothing to base such a conclusion on- they give people what they want. They don't have to exhaust themselves, and get paid in the process.

Doctors aren't universally convinced of a lot of things. Somehow I find myself doubting that you base everything you accept on whether a group of people is universally convinced. So what makes this particular issue so special as to require universal agreement before you bother to understand it?

Because the proposition is that a woman can be born in a male body.
