eclipsenow...just some questions...

Do you really believe you are accomplishing anything here?

Do you really think you are enlightening anyone? People have already taken their stance on the whole global warming conspiracy for or against the Club of Rome.

Do you really believe "global warming" is the single most important problem in the world right now?
Sin is the single most important problem in the world right now, which includes the sin of allowing our cognitive dissonance to take over and delude us that climate change isn't a serious and present danger.

But in terms of every social policy or international situation you care to name, such as:

"tension and war in the middle east, tension in Israel, tension in Russia, China's politics, hunger, poverty, disease, world wide economic problems and the list goes on. You seem so focused on one tree, you can't see the forest."

Global warming is going to burn the forest down! And complaining that I'm trying to 'stay the hand of God' is like accusing a Christian cop of 'staying the hand of God' when they try to solve a crime and bring a tiny bit of justice to their area of the world, or condemning a social worker or child-sponsorship program or poverty relief program or African clean water program of the same. Aren't they all trying to 'stay the hand of God'? To which I answer, read James!

All things happen according to His plan and no one elses. As Christians we are expected to be good stewards of the earth, but the world is not controlled by Christians. Satan is the ruler of this earth and God has plans for those who have followed Satan to destroy Gods creation. God's children have nothing to fear.
Really? This is how you think ethically about the world's climate and poverty situation? I've never heard a Christian use Satan as their excuse to get out of social responsibilities or thinking about the poor when voting. It's like your saying "Sorry, I can't be bothered bringing light and salt into the world because it's all messed up by Satan. Great Commission, Great Shemisshion! Next?"

Sin is the single most important problem in the world right now, which includes the sin of allowing our cognitive dissonance to take over and delude us...

I couldn't agree more

But in terms of every social policy or international situation you care to name,

It's a big list...

such as:

"tension and war in the middle east, tension in Israel, tension in Russia, China's politics, hunger, poverty, disease, world wide economic problems and the list goes on. You seem so focused on one tree, you can't see the forest."

Global warming is going to burn the forest down!

God is going to burn the forest down

...And complaining....

I wasn't complaining...I was asking

...is like accusing...

I wasn't accusing...I was asking

a Christian...when they try to solve a crime and bring a tiny bit of justice to their area of the world, or condemning a social worker or child-sponsorship program or poverty relief program or African clean water program of the same. Aren't they all trying to 'stay the hand of God'?

No, as Christians they are walking in His way of compassion and caring for their brothers and sisters and they are not condemning anyone

Really? This is how you think ethically about the world's climate and poverty situation?

No...it is your twisted opinion of how I think...and it is terribly jaded and distorted

I've never heard a Christian use Satan as their excuse to get out of social responsibilities or thinking about the poor when voting.

Neither have I :o

It's like your saying "Sorry, I can't be bothered bringing light and salt into the world because it's all messed up by Satan.

Whoa...I don't know how you came up with such a dark and distorted view of a fellow sister in Christ...but you sure are full of anger and judgment

Great Commission, Great Shemisshion!

As a born again Christian, I am God's servant...and His purpose for all of us is to plant the seeds of salvation in the hearts and minds of our fellow brothers and sisters. To reveal to them God's love and compassion and His promise of life everlasting so they have nothing to fear in this world. We can't change God's plan for the sin in the world, but we can bring the truth of His power and grace. And there is a great deal of work to be done in these last days.

So where is the light you are shining on lost souls? You behave like you're the "global warming" guru with your doom and gloom fear inducing preaching as if it is the single most important problem in the world. The only tree in the forest. You,re come across like a rabid dog with a bone on the matter, growling and chomping spitefully at all who disagree with you. And as has been pointed out before...Global warming is a political platform, both for and against the claims

Next?"

But I get the hint and won't talk to you anymore

Let him rave on. He has already demonstrated, beyond any shadow of a doubt, that he has more confidence in the word of "scientists" than in the word of God.

He thinks anyone who does not agree with his favorite brand of "scientists" is a fool. He calls all scientists that do not follow their twisted logic, "deniers." And claims they are simply motivated by money, fully and willfully ignoring the fact that global warming "scientists" are 100% dependent on public panic for their incomes.

Yeqh...I know...I have reviewed a lot of it...I guess I just keep hoping he will calm down some and be more about the message of a fearless life here on earth, full of the joy, love, and compassion that salvation brings when God touches you mind, heart and soul. :)

Only a head's up, ie, Satan in the abyss for now and must work through his agencies until Rev.20:7. Secondly we must make sure we are God's children, especially born in this full blown apostasy.

The preliminary judgments of God, most don't see, affect every part in the human temporal sphere where the children of God are not affected in the spiritual sphere.

Old Jack being affected by old age ^_^ or is it  ?

Hi Stuart....I see we differ in opinion on Satan and his role here...but the word of God tells us that Satan is ruler on earth. One example of his presence here is when He tried to tempt Jesus in the wilderness.

But I don't want to argue about sin and Satan because Christians have very different views on the matter. It is more important that we are all brothers and sisters in Christ and are out about His business.

Blessings to you "old Man"...I pray more come to know God's love for us all.

No argument, only a head's up regarding what happened to Satan at the Cross, ie, Rev.12:7, etc. & Rev.20:2, etc. from a Lutheran view, Satan got his butt kicked.

Well...technically he cannot truly reign on earth until He is revealed in the temple in the last days...but he is a foot and his presence and influence is all over the world. Jesus dying on the cross to save the souls of men let him know his time is almost up...and looking around at the world...he's been very busy. :sigh:

The antichristian power and propaganda also has been working overtime (24/7), ie, possibly revealed in the naos, "sanctuary" of one's heart unknowingly in light of IIThess.2:4 and Rev.13:14b now? Not ieron, "Temple" later.

Yes, pray for Israel and Australia and America and every other secular nation on earth, because things are 'hotting up' globally. There's nothing particularly 'special' about Israel in biblical theology any more. They are a secular nation like any other. Nothing in the bible speaks about them any more: all prophesies find their 'yes' in Jesus. We are 'all Israel' now, us Christians, and we have a responsibility not to pollute our neighbours farm so they can't farm, not to steal all their water, not to corrupt their political systems to their nations collapse. This is a social issue that Christians should care about!

There are plenty of Christian climatologists that would be ashamed of you all if they read the cognitive dissonance and indulgence in self-congratulatory navel gazing conspiracy theories on this thread! What an echo-chamber! What are you all qualified in? Anyone here a climatologist? Anyone here want to tell me why they think they know better than their brothers and sisters in Christ who are actually qualified to comment on this urgent problem? I mean, biblewriter goes on about being a scientist, but he just swallowed the whole 'stratosphere is cooling' strawman, and hasn't had the decency to admit that he was taken in by a complete fraud by the silly websites he reads. OF COURSE the stratosphere is cooling! Did he find any of his Christian brothers and sisters who could actually help him with that, and check what it meant in good conscience in a quiet, fact filled conversation with the experts? No! He just regurgitated the denialism up here like an obedient puppy. That's what republican denialists do! Jump in on the echo-chamber, so that they think 'everyone' just 'knows' it's all a sham. What a shock your Denialist children and grandchildren are going to get as the super-famines kick in from the super-droughts AND super-floods! What a shock their going to get when grandpa's 'prophecies' didn't actually happen, because they're based on the wrong eschatological grid and reading the OBVIOUSLY symbolic and theological as LITERAL and PREDICTIVE.

I'm sorry pal, but Amillennialism is the correct eschatological view, Israel has NOTHING to do with any 'prophecies' because they were all fulfilled in Christ in eschatological tension, and global warming is a real and present danger, and only going to get worse. But the good news? Jesus will come back one day, whether tonight or in 20,000 years! We just don't know. The other 'good news' is that global warming COULD be like lead poisoning, or sewerage in our drinking water, or smallpox. It could be one of those societal dangers that we FIX, and that becomes an issue of the past. It really could.

We have the technology to wean off oil and gas and coal (which kills a million people a year worldwide and poisons landscapes!) But you Denialist's have beliefs that are in Exxon and the Koch brother's pockets: you're doing their dirty work for them and you don't even know that half the websites you memorise are actually funded by them! How pathetic.

Really? This is how you think ethically about the world's climate and poverty situation? Not even close my friend. God's preliminary miraculous judgments is the primary cause of all the spiritual calamities on the planet, eg, Rev.9:1-21 now, ie, this moment - however in the the temporal plane is also being affected as an effect where more of a Eph.1:11 kind of thing. Combine both of the above resulting in horrors as one sees around them today and it will get worse thus we need to have an agape for the Truth.

Old Jack's opinion

1. A literal reading + futurist timetable reading of the obviously symbolic and obviously theological does not make you more spiritual: it just makes you more misguided. The ONLY 'prophecy' we have that is still to be fulfilled is the gospel news of Jesus return (including judgement and a New Heaven and New Earth and us living forever with him). That's it! Everything else is sheer invention by bad reading: and just watch all the futurists disagree with each other as they run their various silly deluded timetables up against each other.

2. God's judgements include handing us over to what we do to each other. Does that mean us Christians just walk past if we see some teenagers punching up a little girl? "Oh, God bless you, but this is all His judgements against this world?" What about on a bigger scale, when we see the oppression of a minority? Like the slave trade? Oh, yes, Christians have been known for abolishing the slave trade. What about on a bigger scale, like the absolute environmental pillaging by mining companies, and the forced reallocation of villages into slums? Do we care about them? What if a corporation dumped thousands of tons of toxic gases on your town? Would you care then? Would you have a responsibility, as a citizen, to do what you could to demand justice for your neighbours?

In the same way Christians are not exempt from caring about the very real dangers imposed on us and especially our poorer neighbours over in sub-Saharan Africa and in the Pacific Islands by global warming. Beware! Big Oil and King Coal have funded campaigns in our churches to mislead the church: and have so dressed it up they appear like 'angels of light' when they are actually agents of filthy coal dust, emphysema, and lung cancer.

When will they stop? King Coal now wants to ban your right to hear what environmental effect your super may be having! How brazenly North Korea of them! Please sign this petition if you disagree with King Coal trying to silence climate scientists. And remember:
“But the real extremists are the coal and mining companies that are willing to wreck our country and climate for profit. We think it’s actually pretty reasonable to try and maintain a planet somewhat like the one we were born into.”
Please click below and sign the petition:

It's part of our Christian duty in these Last Days (2000 years and counting) to love our neighbour, even the most vulnerable: those voiceless unborn billions who will inherit the mess we leave them.
