You will be rich one day if your a child of God because you will go to heaven, but on earth you might not be. Being a child of God is hard in this world, people will hate you and you will lose friends, family over it. In the end it is worth it, we do it because we love God, not to get rich or be problem free. If you truly love God you will endure.

But we are happy and rich, because i feel God, see God, hear God every day. I speak to him in my dreams while cleaning the house or just getting food. I know the Arch Angel Gabriel and have spoken to him for brief times. The greatest thing is God comes to me, protect me, provides for me, keeps me. We have everything we need and much of what we want. God clothes me like he said he would, people are always giving me very nice clothes. Most people around here think we have money by our car and clothes. All of which God gave us. our car my dad work for GM so i bought the car with his help at blue book brand new. I don't feel poor, but we are well under poverty level. We are rich though be cause God takes care of us, because we have a place in Heaven. I agree that this is a false teaching, HOWEVER, as I have said in other threads I have no problem with Christians being wealthy, IF they still have their trust in God. That is what Jesus was saying in that verse; the more you have the easier it is to trust in your "stuff", but just HAVING it is not a sin.

I still give friend, When God ask me to i give, when he sends someone to me I give.

We donate clothes, I have fed the homeless which i my self was once, I gave a drug addict 3 or 4 dollars out of the 10 I had to my name because he ask for bus fare. I hate to do physical labor for people yet find my self doing it for God, I could not bring my self to do it for a person, I bust my but all my life now i hate that work. The other day i brought my neighbor some pizza because she rarely can afford to have it. I housed my mother inlaw not once but twice when she was homeless, and I can go on and on. I am not bragging, and i hate talking about it because i am not sure if God wants me to. But my point is if we have so little and still give then so should everyone.

Just because we are poor does not stop us from doing Gods will. What Good is faith with out works, if you see a man hungry and cold on the street and you pass him by and say eat well , stay warm, but walk on by what good is that, but feed him cloth him. loosely translating Paul there.

I had a preacher at my church pull me aside and say we did not give enough at collection. That preacher was no man of God, his righteousness was not better than the pharisees. I forgot about collection or I would not have gone to church, me and my wife just wanted to worship, we had no money for collection. When the plate came around i instructed my wife to empty her change purse into the plate. It was probably about 33 cents. That was all we had. After service the preacher told us "you did not give enough" I said nothing, he said we would find if we gave more God would give us more. I said nothing but Jesus was speaking to me, He reminded me of how he sat out side collection at the temple and raved when the poor woman gave all she had.

Its funny but many of people claiming to be children of God reject me. These are people leading in the churches. I remember Jesus was reject too, another funny thing is now i am called to preach. I am not even half way through my schooling and I have had so many Christians question my calling, tell me I would be a horrible preacher. i guess they forgot to inform God of that because he does not seem to think so. I did not chose to go into to ministry in fact i spent my life running from it only to be brought back and God finally say i will let you do nothing else. So here I am. Its funny my professors my Dean, they don't question me, they read my papers and can see my love for God poured out in them.

Sorry about that got a bit off topic I guess that attack on My calling a while back on here really got to me. That is ok because i know Jesus is in my heart and I know what is in theirs. I'll meet those people again, but God will be doing the talking then, and I will be vindicated like the song on my signature.

One more thing brother. We already have all we need to do Gods will, He does not send us out with out food or water and tell us to feed the poor, He gives us the food and water in which to feed them.

People would look at me and say I am poor, but I am richer than they ever could be. I get to do the will of God.

One thing i treasure i will share, is I have got to smell the spirit of God, that is the best way and with my limited understanding i can put it. The smell Is great it takes away hunger and pain and cold and heat leaves you perfect. Just one second of that smell Has given me strength to endure all shorts of hell, and I mean pure torture. This is just one of many gifts.

I have riches which most people we never see in this world, and I have suffered more than many people ever will. But what I have with God I am with out a doubt the riches man in the world.

You have to take it with a grain of salt, lot of bashing going on not much listening and understanding.

Funding is need You are correct. Jesus had a treasury judas was in charge of it. It is clear Jesus had a way to collect funds. i think this was more for us than Him, because after all He proved He could just create food.

God said accept when people give to you those who work should be fed.

I am not preaching against prosperity. I fail to see how what you said applies to me?

There are those who have materiel well being and there are those who are poor in that area but rich in others.

I don't value money but the spiritual things. I need money to live for certain luxuries. I love to watch movies and i do, I have a tv, I need a car and I have one. I need a computer and I have it. God has given me all i have. sure i would like a house, maybe it would be nice to have a bit of money and not struggle, maybe it would be nice to be rich. i would settle for not to struggle every day, but i don't think i want materiel wealth it would put a wall up. I think what you fail to realize is the poor are blessed spiritually.

Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth.

Sure Abraham was wealthy and Blessed spiritual so was Solomon. wow was he ever blessed. So just because you have, does not mean you are not blessed. But there is blessing in being poor, and there is joy having God provide everything you have, Great joy.

On this forum, one of the most SHOCKING off all things is how well-off Christians use the Word to defend their wealth. But then I think they must be watching a prosperity preacher and taking notes.

It's disgusting. Shocking really. In 60 years, everything you have ever owned will be rusted in a dump somewhere or a landfill. When you die, the government will take 55% as your death tax.

Prosperity gospel is the biggest farce in the world. We now have the ability to change lives, save lives, but nah all you great Christians keep your money.

Always amazed me when people would speak against prosperity,the pass the offering plate like beggars every time the church was open.

Guess they will never have what they speak against.

Guess the missions fund will do without again.

I am not preaching against prosperity. I fail to see how what you said applies to me?

There are those who have materiel well being and there are those who are poor in that area but rich in others.

I don't value money but the spiritual things. I need money to live for certain luxuries. I love to watch movies and i do, I have a tv, I need a car and I have one. I need a computer and I have it. God has given me all i have. sure i would like a house, maybe it would be nice to have a bit of money and not struggle, maybe it would be nice to be rich. i would settle for not to struggle every day, but i don't think i want materiel wealth it would put a wall up. I think what you fail to realize is the poor are blessed spiritually.

Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth.

Sure Abraham was wealthy and Blessed spiritual so was Solomon. wow was he ever blessed. So just because you have, does not mean you are not blessed. But there is blessing in being poor, and there is joy having God provide everything you have, Great joy.

On this forum, one of the most SHOCKING off all things is how well-off Christians use the Word to defend their wealth. But then I think they must be watching a prosperity preacher and taking notes.

It's disgusting. Shocking really. In 60 years, everything you have ever owned will be rusted in a dump somewhere or a landfill. When you die, the government will take 55% as your death tax.

Prosperity gospel is the biggest farce in the world. We now have the ability to change lives, save lives, but nah all you great Christians keep your money.

You would prefer poverty gospel?

Prosperity is not just money,it is being blessed with love in family joy ,health,and fiance.

We should be the lender not the borrower,it is hypocritical to condemn prosperity when you ask God to provide for your means.

What makes a person so special that they can be blessed but it's wrong if others teach it.

I wonder how many people would turn down a winning lotto ticket?

No need to feel guilty about your wealth plenty of people in the Bible had wealth. Solomon had more than well any one maybe.

Rightly said that is not true! Jesus who was greater then Solomon was born in a manger, and was homeless. Is anyone here greater then His Master? We are promised trials, tribulation, and persecution if we follow Jesus, not money. "Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head." (If Jesus was homeless wouldn't the 12 be as well while they where following him around?)

Was not Moses richer before he started following God. Are not Egyptian Princes wealthier then shepherds? Were not tax collectors working for Rome wealthier then homeless preachers? We first meet Matthew in Capernaum, in his tax booth on the main highway. He was collecting duties on imported goods brought by farmers, merchants, and caravans. I am pretty sure Paul would have made more money if he had not followed Jesus. I don't think part time tent makers made to much money.
