Which is it?

There is no contradiction here. There is nothing that says either those looking for Jesus or the Disciples stayed where they first went.

The second verse doesn't even say the people found Jesus in Capernaum, but that he was on the other side of the lake. Capernaum and Gennesaret are close to each other on the side of a lake.

Epic fail on your part.

Oh **** Atheism is now the new Christianity!

For decades I've noticed Christians thinking because they saw something in a Christian magazine or their Pastor said it, it must be true. Problem is that the magazine failed to check as did their Pastor, wash rinse repeat.

Misinformation transmits freely through the Christian community, looks like the atheists are catching up.

I'd have preferred the opposite, people in both groups checking.

If someone makes a claim, that a pair of verses is in conflict it is not a valid rebuttal to say they should look elsewhere.

It is absolutely valid. Because they are reading the wrong verses.

Verse A and B are claimed ot conflict and you say they are looking at the wrong verses, they should be looking at verses c and d which do not conflict.

IT DOES NOT MATTER if verses c and d are in perfect harmony. If a and b do conflict they still conflict.
