CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
Will someone let me know when the War on Christmas starts this year.

), why do you have to stick your head in the sand to escalate it? The same reason you have to stick your head in the sand to see it in the first place, because it's not real to begin with! Glad I could clear that up for you.

No, referring to reality. It's not that complicated. The "War on Christmas" is fake.
Right wingers love to use it as part of their antiliberal/progressive/Democratic party agenda. Unfortunately, many buy into their propaganda lies and are not aware that it is CONservatives who started and perpetuate this "war".

Caught Between Barack and a Hard Place
People put their heads in the sand to avoid seeing the reality (which has a conservative bias by the way) that the War on Christmas is real. I for one choose to remain alert, as always. The good news for the War on Christmas this year is that the Obamacare rollout and other scandals are tying up so much energy from our liberal friends in high places that they may not have time to engage the War in Christmas this year.
Alas, I sense an early victory at hand
