Advice please :)

I want to share a little dream I have. something that I would love to do someday, if possible. But at this point, I don't know much about starting or running something like this and it will be a few years til I can actually do something like this. I just want to know what you all think about it.

I want to create a a different type of community.
I want this place to be a place for EVERYONE.
I want a place where people can go and relax, get help with whatever I can provide, a place to live temporarily, for the homeless, almost homeless, the abused, pregnant, LOW LOW income or no income. Also I would like it to be a place for those who may be lost in there life, I want it to be inspirating to everyone.
I want it to be a different community.
Maybe even on a mini farm

For the troubled:
I want to teach them discipline and hard work
And also this place isn't going to be completely free.
People have to work and volunteer for the right to live there.
If its a farm.. They will help with feeding, watering, cleaning, grooming, and maybe even assisting with riding and training animals.
I want to be a type of counselor and friend to everyone.
I want the work to be productive and a lesson to learn.
I want there to be a meaning behind everything that they do.
This place will be to brighten the spirit of everyone, to build confidence and understanding of life itself.

I feel for people who are in bad situations. I feel for people who struggle with sadness and depression, also for those who are troubled and feel lost. I want to help but in a different and Christian way. Although I want this community to be accepting of any religion as long as they respect the christian community.

This is just a brief explanation of whats running through my head about this community...

What if someone just wants to sponge off of whatever is available so they won't have to work hard to live?

There would be strict rules, and the stay would be temporary. And of course a strict application for people who want to live or work there

Oh, and the work there won't be made easy. I'm sure alot of people won't enjoy shoveling animal poop, lol

Types of work/jobs:

Feeding, watering, cleaning stalls, cleaning and grooming the animals. Also, cleaning and maintaning the community. Mowing and weed eating the lawn, picking weeds from gardens, tilling for gardens, cleaning inside and out of the living areas. I'm sure I can come up with other things for them to do.
Also, the animals I want are, pigs, horses, maybe milk cows, goats, and just the normal everyday farm animals.

Good idea. I think such a place would be wonderful to help people who are willing to help themselves.

It would be worth spending some time on kibbutzes or communes, to see how they run them. It will be easier to plan if you get a sense of the flow of the day. You might even meet experts there who'd like to help you set it up.

There may be one problem,but also a solution.

Drug and alcohol abuse is a major contributor to the homeless and needy.

Trying to work a farm would be impossible if there addiction was not delivered.

A example of a successful treatment program is in Orlando FL.
They are Christian and the term of stay is long up to a year.

But I have witnessed some I thought gone,happy and drug free serving the Lord.

My thought would be your farm would be the next stop to restoration of their lives.
