I'm glad you made that point. Because both tiger and lion come from the same family of Felidae. So at one time they were together, and a lion and a tiger would have bred, producing a Liger, but there are no Ligers in the wild.
If humans are from a evolutionary process, one would find Nenderthals/humans today also Ape/Neanderthal today and not just the dominant specie. You have apes, chimps, and humans.
