I usually call it the illusion of knowledge. There is no knowledge though. In fact, there is usually so little beyond "Goddidit" that you can hardly call it a lie.

I would ask for something beyond "Because people whom I trust told me so." I see no reason to consider the accuracy of your religious beliefs to be any greater than those of people who are a different religion because they were told a different religion was correct. If you say that you feel it in your heart or something, that's great for you and I'm not trying to convert you, but you can't expect that to be enough to make me share your beliefs when people of every religion say the same thing.
