TheOtherHockeyMom...I definitely agree with that quote, however this group's merchandise shouldn't be allowed to display the content that I have seen. It's terrible. 12 & 13 year old children should not be exposed to this band's content.

Is it illegal ?
if yes, then report it to the authorities.
if no, then lock your kids up as they'll be exposed to stuff like that or worse in the real world.
(Note: Locking your kids up is illegal though)

I think all of those artists are terrible for children to listen to, but I have been noticing this group lately and I just don't want my kids or others to be influenced by material like this.

How about you tell your kids not to listen to it? I don't want my kids to be influenced by any religion, should I try to ban Christian music from the stores?

I don't have children at the moment but if I did they would likely first be exposed to heavy metal similar to this when I take them to music festivals with me. Assuming the wanted to go.

I've got young kids, and at the age they are at, I've still got some sway over what they listen to, and what they watch. As they get older, I expect (and hope) that they will both be exposed to a variety of different things that challenge them and their beliefs, and have the tools to deal with them, learn and grow.

Like Poison, Motley Crue, AC/DC, Whitesnake, ect ?
The same thing my parents did, nothing.

I don't care much for the music my kids listened to.
My parents didn't care for the music I or my siblings listened to. (they came out fine)
My grandparents didn't care for the music my parents listened to. (they came out fine)
My GreatGrandparents didn't care for the music my Grandparents listened to. (they came out fine)
(see the pattern yet???)

The only thing you can do is stop your own kids from listening to it, you don't get to control other people or how they raise their kids.

This is a very basic and very settled first amendment question. Satanic speech is just as protected as Christian speech.

Let's say that whomever this group is comes to your area to play and you go out and protest, like some Christians did in the 90s against Marilin Manson, you take an event that would have gone unnoticed by the media and make it into a story. Thus giving more press to what you want others to not be influenced by.

Just ignore them, most extream metal bands have short runs anyway.

I think it comes down to what is being made available for children to listen to...for example marilyn manson albums have actual disclaimers (at least in my country) on the rating and explicit language.

This seems to be a parenting issue rather than an issue with the actual band. My parents never permitted me to listen to such music.

You can't even really do that nowadays, unless you lock your kids up 24/7.
If they go to school, they can listen to it at school
If they go to the mall with their friends, they can listen to it at the mall.
